I had Bryan work on a variety of legal issues for me. He modified my loan to a 3 percent fixed rate, and then helped me file bankruptcy. He is now helping me with a minor family law issue. I really didn't like a moment of working with him. He got the job done but was unpleasant, slow to respond, and even forgot to come to one of the hearings with the trustee. Another attorney volunteered to represent me because she knew him but then there was confusion on whether I even had a hearing that day. He doesn't know the law well and just seems to make it up as he goes along. I don't feel like you can trust him. He has told me things that just weren't true. I also looked up his discipline record with the state bar now that I saw it below and it is true. He had quite an incident over honesty. His practice of law just isn't up to the level I'd expect and I hope he changes to be more straightforward and trustworthy. If he claims I wasn't a client, think about how you'd feel writing about your bankruptcy in public.

I hope others don't make the same mistake I did. Only after I met with Mr. Diaz did I discover that he was suspended from the practice of law for six months. He is a nice guy and seems sincere. His service seems fine. But I am worried that I trusted him with information about me, my work, and my life. I encourage others to look into the discipline record of attorneys before hiring them. Attorney records are available on the California Bar website. When you hire an attorney, you really need to rely on them. I just didn't feel good about having trusted him and then discovering this information after the fact.
