This place COULD be AWESOME with a 5 -✴ rating & take down a LOT of greedy bullies in SLO County... if only they HAD THE FUNDING to do so!! CRLA desperately needs FUNDING to hire more attorneys, paralegals, A GRANT WRITER, general staff, etc. They also need more FUNDING to cover the costs for the probably 90% pro bono cases they WISH they COULD accept. CRLA could be a real change agent if well-off liberal/Democrats in the community would send them regular financial contributions.

Providing vital legal help to the poor sounds nice BUT: CRLA didn't return my phone call. The CRLA office hours posted on the San Luis Obispo Bar Association website do not match when their office is really open. If the quality of their legal service is as poor as their accessibility and communication ability then CRLA gets an UNSATISFACTORY rating.

Was refereed to this place of business by SLO Solutions for assistance with a tenant issue we are having. basically we gave our tenant notice that we will not be renewing the lease. The tenant is not happy about this and we fear the tenant may not be out when they are supposed to be.

I called and was greeted by a friendly sounding female. When I tried to describe what I needed assistance with she cut me off (not a big deal, certainly dont want to have to repeat myself is she is not the person I needed to speak with). However, her response was kind of odd and curt. She said "I don't need to know your life story" Seriously, we had been on the phone for about 2 minutes. She then told me that I could call an attorney for help. I only need one basic question answered and had heard that this establishment was here to help. All I wanted to know was to know what I need to do if the tenants are not out on the date they should legally be out on. Ive done the research and just want to make sure I am doing things properly. I know that I can contact an attorney and pay $350 an hour. If was going to do that I would not be calling for a advice. When I stated this, (because I felt like she was being rude and dismissive). She went dead silent on me. I asked her if she could simply tell me the dates and times of the clinic and once again, dead silence. I asked if she was still there and she said "yes" I asked again If I could "please have the dates and times of the clinic". She said she would email the info, I provided my email address. I then asked for her name and she hung up on me. I called back and asked her why she hung up on me and she said "she had given me the info and was done" I said I was trying to ask a question, but was hung up on. She replied " I just emailed you", as if that makes it ok to hang up on a person who is speaking to you in a calm voice. She also never was loud or angry with me just extremely rude, dismissive, and not helpful at all. I honestly wish I had never called. The gals name is Carly. Perhaps she should get training in speaking dealing with the public. Maybe she was just having a bad day.?
