I received one year probation with psychiatric evaluation. No jail time. And I was facing 1 to 6 years in prison. My son is a good kid who has suffered from some mental health issues. Sometimes he makes poor decisions. He was arrested for trespassing and the police found him with Xanax. When we reached out to David we were very concerned. I know our son has anxiety and we wanted to get him out of jail and get him help.
When my son was finally released from the courthouse it was obvious that he was not in a good emotional state. My husband and I took him from court and when we began walking out he hit me. I know my son and he is not this type of person, but being locked up exacerbated his anxiety. I had no interest in doing anything about him lashing out at me and I understand why he did, but the police saw it and arrested my son. They put him right back into jail. All of this was a nightmare for our family.

After his second arraignment, my wife and son sat with David in his office to come up with a plan. I spoke with David so he could guide me as well. Not only did David respectfully handle our calls (there were many!), but we went back to court earlier this week and the cases are over. One case was dismissed and the other case was closed with an ACD. This means in six months my son will be free of all the remaining charges.

I am truly happy with the outcome even if I didn’t want to be dealing with this in the first place. My son will get the help he needs and can go about his life without horrendous consequences of these arrests.
