Dan Marks is a bad lawyer. I lost on the simplest and easiest things. It was a complete mistake to hire him or to trust him. I regret hiring him.
What is really sad to see is the fake reviews here to help boost his rating. What a shameful guy!

0 stars I went to Daniel marks for sexual harassment from my boss because I wouldn’t go out and sleep with him and he told me to go find another job

First choice. I have been in this town for 25 years and highly recommended Mr. Marks.

Daniel Marks and staff have been absolute lifesavers for me! I thought that I was good enough to “self represent” DON’T DO IT! Somehow, they were able to clean up the mess That I had already made and even help me fix a completely different issue! Don’t hesitate to call this firm for representation. They will make you feel like family and make all of the court tension and stress melt away. My X thought she hired the best lawyer in town until “Court Happened”. 5 Stars!!!

The best civil lawyer in Las Vegas. I went from not seeing my children at all to joint legal and physical custody. He argued my case very well. I am eternally grateful to this man and recommend his firm. If I could give more stars I would. Thank you so much Dan. Me and my kids are so grateful.

Adam Levine is an amazing employment attorney. He came to my case late, a week before an EEOC Mediation, but had a complete command of the time-line and issues. He's that smart. His billing is extremely fair. I have no doubt that I received the settlement I did in a short time because he was my lawyer. He is tops!

Dan Marks is a worthless and incompetent lawyer. Hiring him to represent me was the worst mistake of my life.
Not only is he worthless, he did not act in my best interests when he had the opportunities during my case. What a disgrace for a lawyer!! The only thing that matters to this guy is taking your money, and how fast he can jerk it out of you.
Dan Marks is a shameful disgrace in my opinion!

DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN! He failed to represent me in Federal Court. He single handedly ruined a 6 year EEOC battle by showing up to Federal Court unprepared and without my EEOC file which had already determined my employer had retaliated against me. Avoid this man at all costs!

So you have just been fired after 5 years of employment with a company that you developed a global service team for. The first 3 years were amazing and the feeling was awesome to be a part of such a team. Things change, CEO's change and the last two years have been spent saying things like.. "Certainly, there must be a diabolical genius plan by this current CEO, he can't possibly be TRYING to run the company into the ground.. " But, there isn't anything illegal about poor choices. Then boom, one day, your in your office, and that CEO comes in and says this is really hard but we are going a different direction and eliminating your position. BUT THEN, while you are gathering your items you find out from the team that calls you Captain, that you have built over the last 5 years and earned a stellar global reputation for your team.. that the CEO has just told them the position will be posted and they will be hiring internally. You're reeling, feeling lost.. need someone, maybe anyone to help make sense of it. You understand how Nevada doesn't really honor their employees and the bulk of the law is for the employer. Its ok to be a horrible boss, its not illegal. There is just no recourse for people who are middle management and don't have a golden parachute put into the contract at your position. So you take $250, out the days of the pay period you made it through, since there is no severance. You do this just to make sure you're not really out in the water by yourself.. What happens next is of course you walk into Daniel Marks office, and are met by a very dry older lawyer. He then takes you into his conference room and very dryly and no care what so ever for your situation, you are told there is no law that has been broken. So, you think of other questions.. because your told that in a matter of minutes just by your contract being looked over. There is nothing that you can do. Still, since your only 5 minutes into your paid $250 consult, "Well, is there anything I can do to stop this guy, a labor board complaint. If we went that route what would happen?? Then imagine this Daniel Marks very dryly and quite rudely responds to every queston with "You're just not getting it".. ""You don't have enough money and its not going to achieve what you are looking for- unless its all about revenge".. mind you, you have watched people who gave years and strength and relationship to this company and you're about the 10th in line to get the axe.. Forgive the Robin Hood Syndrome but quite honestly, enough is enough.. Daniel looks at you and says.. "Why would you want to hurt someone? How can you even ask me to do that? To hurt someone else when no laws have been broken?" If this was the response to your questions, What would your response be? After seeing this CEO cream your company, cream your family, your friends families and give himself a $100,000 raise in the middle of LOSS as a company for the last two years that he has been at the helm? Pending the sale of the company to be announced Literally the next day... All the time that you held on hoping the rumors about the sale would come through and your job, your family would be saved by the sale of the company. Only to be axed a WEEK before the sale went through. Then Daniel takes your $250, and rudely insults you for questioning, as you are grasping for anythikng.. not just once but over and over and the last straw is when he says to you.. "how could you ask me to hurt someone?" and your response is "I want to stop this guy from hurting MORE people in his wake" So, if this story echoes to you at all.. Don't give this guy your money so he can choose to belittle you even more and ask you to pay him to do so. When I told him I thought his bed side manner was not good, and you can deliver a message a million different ways .. he chose to deny and not listen. This is not a friend. He may save you money by not taking your case in the long run, but this will be the worst $250 that you have ever spent in your life, no lube included.

Hired him to handle my divorce based on the hype. Biggest mistake of my life! He can be good if he wants to, but apparently all he cares about is taking your money. Fighting for you is not worth his breath. He massively butchered my case, never defended me when the other side attacked me, and never attacked the other side. All he cares about is to look good himself to other lawyers and the judges, and he will sacrifice your interests in the process. That's how he keeps his hype alive. The only time you'll see him aggressive is when he sends his goons after you if it takes you more than half an hour to pay his absurdly over-inflated bills. Do yourself a favor, hire a lawyer who will actually fight for you. Do not believe the hype that surrounds this guy.

I have to highly recommend daniel marks. I used him in 2009 for my divorce and he was awesome. My ex husband was prepared and served me divorce papers after taking every penny I had when he left. Daniel Marks worked a payment plan with me and creamed my Ex husband in court. Daniel is the best lawyer in court he knows the law and represents you better than anyone possibly could. I ended up going back to court a few years later for a modification and paid Daniel his retainer fee, which I had no problem paying because I knew he was worth the money. In the end Daniel did a great job and gave me half of my retainer back. What lawyer in las vegas is that honest to give you a refund? I wouldn't be able to tell if I deserved a refund and how many hours he worked on my case. If you want a honest, great lawyer pick Daniel I promise you won't be disappointed.
