I came across DeRienzo Law when I was searching for an attorney at the beginning of my divorce. Ultimately I went with someone else. I paid that other person entirely too much to drag out proceedings for far too long and complicate things worse than anyone else probably could have. After years of litigation, I went back to Mr. DeRienzo with what I thought was a complicated task: “Fix it.”

Amazingly, they managed to not only untangle all the complications, but finalize the case in a way that worked out wonderfully for both me and my kids. The entire office was professional, courteous, and incredibly efficient. But more than that, Dan, Ember, and Devin are the some of the kindest, most understanding, and considerate people I have ever dealt with. They walked me through every step of the process, explained the situation with patience and clarity, calmed me down when I stressed out, and fought like a Rottweiler for me and my kids. They were a godsend, and I wish I had just let them handle the case from the beginning.

Outstanding

There is no doubt that when I was referred to Dan that I was in one of the worst emotional places of my life. Nothing in my mind can compare to the fear that a mother experiences when it comes to her child's welfare. Dan and his staff were an absolute blessing, they were kind and compassionate, they took every call I made and spent countless hours comforting me and teaching me. I would never doubt Dans expertise when it comes to custody situations, he is well known in the community and very professional. I hope I will never have to go through that again, but if i did, I would travel across the world to work with Dan before ever trusting another lawyer.

Not willing to work with you

I didn't have a good experience with this firm. I ended up drafting and filing on my own yet almost $1,000 of my retainer was withheld for work performed? Not even close but, what can you do? Unless you're an attorney, you don't stand a chance suing an attorney for breach of contract :-( . Just be aware and protect yourself.

100% a Thumbs Up! Dan is a personable guy and a good listener. He is on your side. His staff is incredible and have been there for me. Listening to me and caring. I think he is a fantastic lawyer and was so glad to be able to hire him. I would recommend him. He gets what you want.

Horrible! I would have chosen a 'no star' selection on this review but google wouldn't let me... We had a Truly Horrible experience which has resulted in filing an appeal - and that can take another 18 months to year to fix. The list of incompetencies is vast: no preparation to take the witness stand, star witness was not subpoenaed in time for trial, unable to contact Dan the week before trial b/c he was out of town and unavailable even by phone, he did not know his facts in order to challenge the lies of the mother during cross examination... at the end, he asked when was their next hearing on the matter ??!! Everyone in the court was baffled. It was over and we lost and it was because he didn't do his job.
The children are the ones who've really lost. They are heartbroken.
After the trial, Dan admitted he gave 'ineffective counsel'. Then, he gave us the wrong deadlines and procedures for filing an appeal. I don't really know what is the truth behind such poor counsel, but this man did not do his job.
If I lived close enough to his office, I would stand on street with a sign saying DO NOT HIRE.

Dan and his team did great for me, my family and my children! While going through a horrible divorce Dan and his team kept me calm, focused and hopeful, resulting in full 100% custody of both my beautiful children. Quick tip: listen to the boss, do as he says and all will be okay! Thank you Dan and team! :)
