When selecting an attorney, I wanted someone who was cool, calm, and collective but would fight for my freedom aggressively. Choosing Dustin Phillips was the best decision I have ever made. Not only did he whole heartedly believe my innocence but he proved it to a jury of my peers with a not guilty verdict. Although the prosecution had 2 years to build their case, Dustin Phillips put together a defense in 4 months exposing their case and witnesses to be nothing but circumstantial and liars respectively. He went above and beyond in this case learning medical jargon enabling him to effectively cross-examine medical specialists on the stand. We have gone through 3 or 4 different attorneys for multiple felony cases and all we got was the run around and sub par work. Dustin is the only lawyer I will ever use again in Oklahoma and the surrounding area. He is also very fairly priced. He was with us every step of the way including helping us find a bondsman who would deal with someone out of state. He also saved me thousands of dollars in flights, hotels, and court fees.

Short Version: Fiance’ extradited from Florida to Oklahoma, Felonies in 3 counties in Oklahoma, and facing more jail time than just the extradition. All charges in all 3 counties were dropped because of Dustins work. Highly communicative lawyer. He even picked her up from the jail, and bought her clothing and toiletries at target and dropped her off at the hotel to fly back to Florida the next morning. We did all of this with me talking to him from Florida and him helping her from Oklahoma.

Long Version: We were on a cruise ship that we just got engaged on and after getting home and debarking our ship customs picked us up and tells us my now Fiance’ had some old warrants and they want to take her back to Oklahoma.
We contacted the lawyer from her old cases back in the day and I had never dealt with him. I quickly found out that he was a greedy lawyer that was only going to be doing the very minimal work possible.
I started searching google and found all these highly positive reviews with Phillips & Associates and decided to give him a call. He got to work on our case immediately. The first county she got sent to was Oklahoma County Jail. After spending a week there, Dustin got the case dismissed from the arraignment hearing.
It wasn’t over yet though as now there was a hold with Cleveland County and we had to get transferred to that County next. Dustin got my fiance’ a PR Bond and she was let go with no more money being paid.
Canadian County had a warrant out on her as well, but they did not take her to jail there. They let her go out of Cleveland County Jail and it was late night and last minute. Dustin got out of his house away from his family for the night to go pick up my girl from jail and he was even nice enough to help her get her phone turned back on, the brought her to target to get toiletries and some clothes for the night, then dropped her off at the hotel I just booked for the night. I was out of state and desperate for her to get some help and Dustin came through yet again.
The last step of all of this was Dustin advised us to go take care of the last warrants she had in Canadian County. So we decided to take his advice. We were able to do a quick jail walkthrough (took less than an hour). They gave us an arraignment hearing for 2 days later. Of course I wanted to fly her back immediately as this whole process has been about a month with my new fiancé being gone. So I flew her back to Florida just have her fly back to Oklahoma a couple days later. Turns out we didn’t have to because yet again Dustin got the case dismissed and I got a refund on my flight.
Every good thing that could have happened did and I can tell you with a 100% surety that if it was not for Dustin Phillips at Phillips and Associates, we would still be fighting these cases. Thank you Dustin!
