I cannot recommend this man enough.
My legal problems are very daunting and seemingly insurmountable indeed. I was given a 20 year sentence by an Oklahoma court in 2007, served 7 years in an Oklahoma prison, and all told will spend 12 more years on probation. Just one of my many probation restrictions was that I could not access the internet or possess a smartphone for personal use at all. I couldn't even email my own family!
Here in lies the problems: First, my only experience with an Oklahoma attorney and judge up to that point had gotten me a 20 year sentence. Second, since I’m on an Interstate Compact Agreement living in Arizona, I can’t leave the state of Arizona to look for an attorney. Third, how does one “shop” for an attorney over the phone sight unseen? If you've never been to his office and seen him actually working on your case, how could you possibly believe that the attorney you've hired is actually working FOR you and not TAKING you for a ride?
I started hunting for attorneys and decided to call a few. The very first attorney I called was Frank and by the end of our 10 minute phone conversation, I had hired him. There was just something about the way he spoke over the phone - like he was up to the challenge and so eager to prove it. I believe hiring Frank is by far the very best decision I have ever made!
My case was challenging because both Arizona and Oklahoma courts had their shackles on me. But right away there was a flurry of activity and it amazed me just how quickly he started working my case. Despite these challenges, Frank tackled them all with fierce determination and dogged persistence. When it became too difficult to communicate with me using a flip phone with only talk and text (no smartphone!) and fax machine (no email!) he contacted my Probation Officer and got her allow me to correspond with Frank by email. Once permitted the use of email, Frank would email me drafts of the motion and order, let me read the drafts, and even allow me make changes to them. That meant he LISTENED and RESPECTED my inputs. I came to believe we were a cohesive team working the case together. I hope I never, ever have to hire another Oklahoma attorney again, but if for some unfortunate turn of events I should need one, Frank will be the first and only one I call.
Frank’s flat-fee rates mean that if your case is difficult or lengthy or require a lot of Frank's time your cost will never go up! For me Frank has made the impossible possible. Not only did he get an Oklahoma judge to sign an order to grant me access to the internet and possess a smartphone, he also got the Oklahoma prosecutor and my Arizona Probation Officer and court system to sign off on it as well. Yesterday, I didn't have permission to use the internet or have a smartphone, but today, right now, I am sitting in a McDonald's in Arizona hooked up to their free Wi-Fi and checking my personal email. In my humble opinion, Frank is the very best attorney you will ever find, bar none. If he can’t get something accomplished in your case, it won’t be for lack of skill, ability, or effort. No other attorney you could hire would be able to do you any better. Today, I now view him more than an attorney; he’s a friend who helped me through a terrible time in my life and was with me every step of the way. He’s someone who went to bat for me because I couldn’t swing it myself. And he hit a grand slam – and it has made all the difference in the world for me!
As a defense attorney, thoroughly knowing the facts and issues of your client's case is one of our biggest weapons. Often law enforcement and prosecutors do not have the time to investigate a case as thoroughly as the defense attorney. This thorough investigation is what leads to finding the issues and evidence necessary to obtain the best possible outcome for your client, which is hopefully a dismissal or acquittal.
I still talk about some of the cases Frank was able to get dismissed while a student attorney, including a dismissal where the client basically admitted guilt to the prosecutor prior to my office being appointed and Frank being assigned to the case. After being appointed, we learned the client only wanted to plead guilty case to get the case over with and never actually committed the crime for which he was accused. The prosecutor probably still thinks the client was guilty even though Frank showed her it was impossible and through his investigation, identified the person who probably did commit the crime.
This was accomplished by Frank's extremely thorough investigation and and zealous advocacy. Based on these reviews, Frank still puts in the time and effort to find the issues and evidence necessary to achieve the best possible outcome for his clients. Unfortunately, a Motion to Change the Facts of the Case is not a real thing and sometimes clients are punished for the crime of which they have been accused. A thorough investigation of the case often greatly mitigates that punishment so the client still benefits, just not in the way they had hoped.
I was sad to see Frank's talent and zealous advocacy go to Oklahoma but I am glad to see by these reviews that he is still the "fierce advocate" I knew. Seeing these reviews of his work makes me proud to know him as a friend and a colleague. Keep out working them Frank!
When this is the matter at hand I have always reached out to Frank to seek his expertise in the criminal defense field.
Furthermore, I have sent many referrals his way only to get very positive results.
Oklahoma prosecutors love to throw the book at those that are accused of crimes. Frank throws the book back... and a lot harder.

As an out-of-state resident who encountered some legal issues in OKC, I was relieved by his professionalism, promptness and competence.
Frank was very reassuring of his plan and abilities, kept me up to date on the development of the case, and exhausted every possible option in obtaining a favorable outcome. I was treated very well from the first phone call to the conclusion of the case. Frank went above and beyond.
I would highly recommend the Urbanic Law Firm anyone seeking legal representation. Overall, fantastic experience!
Frank was the right guy for the job though. The most impressive things to me were 1. How well he communicated everything; from setting up expectations of him and of myself, to explaining the entire legal process, to really getting my side of the story so that he could do a better job defending me. 2. How thorough he was; He went through all these reports with a fine-tooth comb and found the smallest of reporting inaccuracies and incorrect procedures performed by the police.
Unlike most lawyers I called, who said their goal was to get my charges reduced, Frank said from day 1 that his goal was to get my charges completely dropped... and he followed through! Charges were dropped, and I didn't even have to go back to Oklahoma for anything. Professional, quick, thorough, and diligent. I highly recommend!
Having never needed representation, and not even knowing anyone that had, we began our search for an attorney on the internet. We liked what we saw on the Urbanic website and made our choice based on that and positive reviews.
After we made the initial call, we received a return call from Sheila almost immediately. From that very first phone call, we felt reassured that we were in competent hands. Sheila kept us informed as to her approach to resolving this matter which kept us at ease. She was receptive to receiving additional information that came to us and followed through.
In just a short period of time, Sheila was able to work with the District Attorney’s office. The charges were never even filed based on lack of evidence. We have no illusions that this would not have been the case if she had not sprung in to action in a timely manner, gathered all pertinent facts, and professionally and competently presented them to the ADA.
