they are horrible PERIOOODDDDD!!!!Mikayla at the front desk doesn't know what she is doing. They neveere came down stairs to talk to me personally and communicated over the phone, had to wait for the lawyers to come so I could get the paperwork I needed for my license and on top of that they didn't apologize for giving us the wrong information and said that they didn't have a public restroom in the whole building. They have no care for anyone elses issues, maybe it's just me they treat like that but I would never do anyone the way they did me
I made two payments online. The money never left my back account. I called and they said the bank rejected my electronic checks. Why they didn't call to tell me that, I don't know. Today i called eight times to get a payment address - no answer. I left two voicemails and havent heard back. it is midday on a Monday. Really?

To anyone who unfortunately has to deal with this "law firm" and has their paycheck garnished: go to your courthouse and file a Motion For Slow Pay.Here it cost roughly $30. It will remove the garnishment and you can go to court to POSSIBLY pay less than the garnishment. Mind you, a representative from Cheadle Law may meet you at your court date, not a judge. They'll force you into agreeing upon an amount that is probably out of your budget. It's still better than the garnishment amount usually. If you want you can ask to be seen by a judge instead and plea your case. Speaking from experience. Hope this helps!

If I could rate them lower I would. I have been paying them on a bill I owed for months now. Then on Christmas Eve I get served a paper stating to be in court over the bill I have been paying on for the full amount I had started with and now I'm expected to pay court cost and private fees on top of the full amount they are saying I owe that I don't.. I have even made several payments ahead of due date. I wouldn't recommend this firm to anyone. And be aware if you are a victom they are after..they will rip you a new one.

AWFUL. They do not care and will ruin your life & not think twice. At court they gave me 10 days to make my first payment, and a couple days later I was ready to pay, but realized they never told me who/where to pay & I called for several days & left a few voicemails on each extension (OF COURSE I never got a call back). I finally figured out at the end of allllll the voicemail message & extensions,...it leads you to a secretary I should have thought of that before, but I didn't so, IF THEY WOULD HAVE TOLD ME WHO TO PAY IT WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED!! IF THEY WOULD HAVE CALLED ME BACK IT WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED ** and I left a message at every extension so I know ONE of them was the lawyer on my case. Now, a large portion of my check is being taken, but it could have been prevented & they made it hard to take care of. Very unprofessional.

They do not even deserve 1 star. Cheadle placed a lein on my elderly father's home who is also a disabled veteran. I submitted a good offer and I did not get an update for over a week. I had to call them to find out that the offer was not accepted. No counter offer, no communication. They are part of the reason why attorneys are labeled as shysters. Please save yourself from the headache of hiring this law firm.

I had a case with them. I thought I had paid them off. Instead of sending me an account balance, they instead took all the money out of my bank account. They literally left a family of 4 with 35 cents to last a week. I hope they burn in the lowest level of hell.

The law firm represented the person who sued me, I lost owing $10,000.00 worth of debt to include court cost and interest. I paid it all down to $1620.00 and asked about settlement offers, when I spoke the the rep over the phone she was nice, gave me the infomation I need to submitt via email or fax and allow 48hrs for a response. I offered 50% to settle making it a 800.00 dollar offer, the respond from Gail Dodd was "no, but thank you." I was shocked how unprofessional, I understand you do not have to settle but give a full statement instead of just" no." I knew they generally settle for about 85% but she didn't even give a counter offer or anything. How rude, how dare you be so unprofessional, I just couldn't believe it. I would never ever ever do business or refer someone to this law firm..........

This whole entire Cheadle family that runs this law firm is the epitome of what is wrong with society. They are rude, condescending and think they are better than everyone else. You can immediately see their nasty attitudes before they even speak. Be forewarned---their time is much more valuable than yours and do not expect them to do anything if it does not involve them coming out on top. They will look down their nose at anyone who is not a fellow stuck up elite or they will just act as if you are not in their presence. They have money and they will make it known to you. NEVER answer any of their detailed questions about address, place or employment or banking information--they will take you for whatever you have ASAP.

I fell behind on a loan that was a year or so old. They never made contact until I got a subpoena to appear in court. I contacted them right away (tried anyway). First of all they never answered the phone. I left several messages and they were never returned. Finally I got ahold of someone and agreed to start payments but I wanted this agreement in writing and I wanted receipts. I sent a payment via money order because they don't take my pre paid card even though it is a visa just like any debit card. They told me as soon as I sent a payment I would not need to go to court. I requested a receipt and the documentation of my agreement to pay before I sent another payment. Never received so I didn't send another payment. I tried to offer a lump settlement to which they stated they won't accept anything less than 85% of the amount due. Took three emails and another call or seven because they never answer to find out they didn't accept the lump sum offered. I didn't dispute that i owed this money I just wanted receipts and documentation that I agreed to pay so that I didn't have to appear in court. Well guess what? After telling me I didn't need to appear in court they went to court anyway and ended up garnishing this money from my checks. Which was completely unnecessary as I made SEVERAL attempts to pay. They just didn't want my lump offer and they didn't ever send me the proper documentation to protect myself. Good luck if you end up dealing with this firm. Ridiculous all around. I sent the first payment, requested receipts/documentation, was told I did not need to go to court, never received said documents or receipts, refused to pay until received but can never get a hold of them to request again, left messages which were never returned, sent emails which were never replied to, and then they have the audacity to go to court despite telling me I didn't need to, which resulted in their success in garnishing my check. Why so much trouble? I was ready to pay! ANSWER YOUR PHONES. ANSWER YOUR EMAILS. AND DONT TELL SOMEONE NO NEED TO GO TO COURT AND FAIL TO NOTIFY THEM WHEN YOU GO AHEAD TO COURT ANYWAY. All I wanted was receipts and documented proof that I had agreed to pay but I guess that's too hard seeing as how they can't even answer a phone call or an email.

Has anyone submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau regarding their unprofessionalism?
Was represented by these guys for a loan I took out a few years ago and haven't had the financial means to continue paying on it. I've started paying 2 months ago and each time it has been an awful experience.
It started when I was told over the phone that I could use digital checks even though my bank account is set up to use 0 /zero check withdrawal. 1st pay didn't go through. I tried calling with no luck. I sent an email to the main person on my case and was replied to stating to never call again and if I didn't get my first payment in by the next day a garnishment would begin.
I thought I'd play nice and take them my first payment that next day. I was greeted well enough by the secretary, but when I asked about getting a document of my payment arrangement the printer magically didn't work. OK fine. I'll call and see if it can be sent out via snail mail. No dice on connecting with anyone.
Fast forward to the next payment and I asked regarding any interest as I haven't received any judgement or paperwork yet. I was insulted regarding my literary capacity about reading the paperwork. I was then threatened to be removed from the property after my frustrated response with asking what I heard was what I actually just heard.
I finally got a hold of someone on the phone and they eventually got to me saying it was going to be sent out soon. We'll see. I'll ask them on my next payment date.

I would give no stars if I could. I asked for a timeline stating when my payment arrangement would finish, was rudely told they don't give out return emails. I told them I didn't want return emails, just a detailed payment arrangement outlining when it would be paid off. My response was rudely put that it would be paid off and last until the balance is $0, with over 7% interest accrued.
This is a BIG SIGN that the company is trying to get more money out of you, by NOT providing you with detailed information of a payment plan. Any LEGITIMATE business provides you with receipts upon when payment is made, and the length of the contract. If this firm tries to get more money out of me than what was owed, I save EVERY PAYMENT I have made and there will be EVIDENCE and a record kept by me as proof of payment. Should I need it for any court, I also save all my email correspondence too!
Just because you are lawyers, doesn't give you the right to be rude and unprofessional. You seem to be in need of a Financial Department with proper assistance for clientele. I recommend a CPA or someone that understands the importance of making payments and what a payment arrangement looks like. I can even give you some tips on companies you can use to help set up payment arrangements. The company I work for had two types. The CLIENT always gets a breakdown of the FINAL cost (yes, including interest), the NUMBER of months scheduled, and what the amounts are and when they are due. ALWAYS. It's just good business practice. Maybe someone here should try and I don't know, get a degree in business. This is all undergraduate and common sense level thinking. I'm surprised you haven't been sued with the way you run your business!! You probably will soon. Not to mention closed from the state and federal government for failing business practice!
I can guarantee you won't be able to get away with this forever. Surprised you lasted this long. How are you books? Do you file taxes? How about audits? Had many of those?

I have dealt with this firm previously, I paid off my dept. I am POSITIVE that it was paid off. This was in 2017, it is now 2019 and I got a summons from a sheriff deputy for a court case regarding the SAME debt I had paid off two years ago. I have NEVER heard from them since I paid it off. But now two years later all of a sudden I now owe them over $600. They keep incorrect records of payment types and refuse to give ACTUAL receipts. They refused to give me a receipt on anything with a cheadle letterhead saying I had paid off my debt. So now here we are two years later I am trying to settle an already paid debt. I have no doubt that I paid it off, either they are SO crooked they have lost all sense of a moral compass OR the girl who is now FIRED since that time was pocketing the money I was paying them. Which is not far fetched since she didn’t even record that I would pay in person. The girl I spoke to (Paloma) recently thought I was lying about paying in person until I described the office and the receipts they hand write on paper joe blow could’ve purchased from the dollar tree. This law firm is an absolute nightmare, they would steal from their own mothers. They are irresponsible thieves. If I owed them money for 2 years.... you’d think they’d send an email.... make a phone call. I am now recording everything, screen shots of everything, writing down times and dates of everything. I have learned my lesson and I will keep every single shred of evidence to prove I have paid this so when they come for me again which THEY WILL, I will have a large stack of evidence and a tall middle finger ready. Coulda, woulda, shoulda. Not this time.

so we had issue b/c they are uncommunicative and have very few options to manage your account. I had paid online they had sent me a receipt for it so I didn't think to check my account for it. The next month I was checking to make sure they got my online payment b/c I hadn't seen where it came out of my account. I called and she said that they wouldn't accept online payments from online banks and that I needed to open a real bank account. this isn't the first time the staff was rude but I was frustrated that no one called and was like hey we see your trying to pay us but it didn't go through instead they sent a receipt and didn't say anything till I called and then they put in an order of garnishment which basically took about 400 dollars to make sure they didn't garnish my wages so I could pay my rent.

This Law Office is what's exactly to be expected from most lawyers these days. Very dishonest, schemes to accomplish favorable outcome, and has the poor integrity of a used car salesman. If you are a defendant in a case where the plaintiff has hired this firm, please do not agree to anything that's not in writing. They will misrepresent the situation and take advantage of any opportunity to exploit a situation. If you're looking for a firm that will do everything legally crooked as possible than you have one right here. To bad I was on the receiving end.
