In 2016 my husband and myself hired Sam as an attorney. When I called Sam to set up a meeting I explained to him that the lawyer we had before told us that it would be impossible for us to every get custody of my step daughter. Also, there were other lawyers that we had looked at and talked to that told us the same thing. Sam asked us to come in for a meeting and when we did he told us that it may take some time but it was not impossible. In 2018, we got full custody of my step daughter. It did take some time because of circumstances that my husband and myself had to deal with before, but during this time Sam helped us prepare for custody. We never felt like Sam was working for the money, we felt as if he cared about our family sincerely. Sam is very knowledgeable in what he does, and made sure we could protect our daughter. It is really hard for fathers to get custody of there children in todays world because of how society works, but Sam made it possible. Now, our daughter is safe in our home out of harms way, and this is all due to how hard and dedicated Sam Byrd was to our case. I honestly feel like Sam is more a friend than just our attorney. He always kept us informed and always helped with whatever we needed when it came to our case. He also has an assistant named Brittany who is amazing as well. They are a good team and always cared. I walked into Sam Byrd’s office almost 6 years ago an absolute wreck. I had been mentally and physically abused throughtout my marriage but somehow my ex had managed to have me put in jail for domestic violence and gotten and emergency custody order ( along with several to follow ) to keep my child from me. I have know Sam was a lawyer for years and never thought I would need his services. When I was charged with a DUI, I thought who can I trust to help protect me? Sam's office put Kevin Hargis on my case. He, although looks and can seem to be a bear was a teddy bear for me. Handling the D.A and Judge with respect and professionalism. He managed a plea deal that saved me a ton of aggravation and about half the cost of his fee. Through the defense period he was always a text away and kept me informed of the progress of the case. Because I admitted I WAS guilty, he suggested I lick my wounds, strike a deal to save me a long drawn out legal battle that may in the end cost me more and not guarantee a better outcome, maybe even worse. After we struck a deal with the D.A that the judge was not 100% on board with he spoke to her and we walked away with an agreement. He then walked me to the rooms to pay my fines and get other charges dropped.  I suggest this firm for your needs and suggest more strongly that you don't drive with any amount of drinks you have had. What you think is buzzed, and the state thinks is illegal, are two different things.

Brittany and Sam worked very hard on my "difficult" case. I say difficult because at the initial consult Kevin believed it would be one of the easiest cases they've handled but one can never account for a difficult Ex-wife.
