Brion J. Payne is an honest and knowledgeable attorney. A routine background check discovered that I had a warrant from 2012 and I was shocked. I live in Washington State with my family, have a job and didn't want anything to do with Tennessee.I was told I would have to travel down there and physically turn myself in. I called a few lawyers out there most were T.V. commercial lawyers. You know, fast talking, sugary words, & making promises. One even request we send 800.00 dollars money order only before he would even look into the case. He didn't want any other form of payment. Shady much??

Not Mr. Payne. He listened and asked detailed questions. He gave the honest truth about possible outcomes depending on what type to warrant it was. I wasn't sure what it was for as I was never served any papers. He then offered to call the Sheriff's office to figure out what my case was all about. NO FEE. He explained his price if we were to use him (all fair prices) and that we wouldn't have to pay until he is officially retained. I got off the phone with him feeling a little more hopeful about my situation. If I had to go back to TN, he seemed like the type to lawyer I would want to have on my side.

Sure enough he called me back the very next day and told me that he had in fact called and that my warrant has been lifted due to a technicality. Okay three things.... 1. He didn't have to call me back since I wouldn't be a client and he wouldn't be making any money off me, 2. He refused any compensation for his time for calling on my behalf, and 3. He genuinely seemed happy for me that my issue was resolved.

Overall, great man and even better lawyer.
