Where to begin... my wife and I recently sold our home and were to meet the buyers at Lanier Law Firm for closing. We met with our respective realtors, along with Kerry(a rep for Lanier) at this upstate location. We were highly disappointed when told that we had to leave without receiving our money, because they did not receive it from the buyers lender. We feel that they should had made sure everything was in order before the beginning of closing. Kerry stated that since we wouldn’t be receiving payment through a check because of their error, we would receive a wire transfer which would be faster. He guaranteed it wouldn’t be more than an hour to process the transfer, but hasn’t happened as of yet(6 hours later). Kerry stated that he represented “the buyer” and made it clear through his actions we weren’t his priority. We have been in contact with the BBB and have tried multiple times to get in contact with Lanier for answers as to where our money was. We haven’t received any answers and are livid. We were told by our realtor that this is an extremely unusual situation and agreed this was poor business management.
