Contacted the "Law Offices of James Scott Farrin" about a simple car accident I was in back in November 2018 with hopes they could help collect the funds from my totaled vehicle from the at fault insurance company (National General Insurance) who does not respond to any of my phone calls or emails. This should be a simple case to assist a community citizen with, with a little pressure from an attorney. But since the case isn't valued in the 10's of thousands, or Hundreds of Thousands, or millions it appears these attorneys want nothing to do with it (I'm just looking to collect the ~$5,000 that is owed to me because of my property damage) -- but I was informed they could not represent me. So, if your case isn't valued high enough for greedy lawyers to make a nice payday - look elsewhere; that's what I'm having to resort to. So much for lawyers looking out for people in their community!?!?

I would have to rate this company poorly. When I first called, the gentlemen I spoke with was very enthusiastic and assured me the company would do all they could to help me with my claim. When I was assigned a paralegal it took a while to hear back from her and my lawyer was extremely clueless about my case. It was awkward and uncomfortable to talk with him—as he knew little to nothing about basic law questions I was asking him. Additionally, he had no perseverance in my case. When things got hard and the slightest pushback from the other party’s insurance company, he dropped my case. He proceeded to tell me that it may not be about the money for me, but for him it’s about the money. Who says that?? So I wouldn’t recommend this insurance company based on my experiences.

I wasted 3 months waiting for information from these people. They had at least three different types of communication channels to use to get in touch with me. They texted me twice. Neither time was a good time for me. Prior attempts to contact them were unsuccessful. After trying at least three times, I finally got a response from them. So they dropped my case saying I never returned their text. I'm certainly not happy with this outcome.

100 percent do not recommend them, they will make you go thru all the horrible details of what you have endured and then decide if it's worth their time financially. I do not recommend using this law office, if you do, do not agree to a 33.5% or 45% they will take their cut off the top, before you get your loss wages, or before they pay your medical bills. Only use them if they agree to a lower percentage rate, that goes for any law office. They will not turn you away, because they want your money. 25% is all they should get for doing what they do. The lawyer should never end up with more money than you.....

I was involved in a 5-car auto accident early April 2019. I was injured and laid up with a sore back, neck, and head trauma. The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin were so helpful during the whole process. I was in a car accident and wasn't sure if I needed a lawyer, but the insurance company of the person that hit me was trying to get me to settle after my first day of physical therapy. I decided to give JSF a call to see if they could help. Attorney Sheppard and his paralegal Vanice were great to work with and took away the stress of dealing with the insurance company. Well I was in a car wreck in 2016 and now that it has been 3 years they dropped my case. I thought they were a good law firm but nothing but a joke I was told they could help get my medical bills paid and pain in suffering but apparently not. We have contacted the James Scott Farrin law firm twice following being hit by another driver. Each time they refused to take our case. In my opinion the only reason they refused to take our was because the settlement would not be large enough for the firm to make a large fee. The last accident was caused by a person charged with DWI and possession of drugs. He hit 7 other vehicles totaling ours two people, one being my wife, were transported to the hospital.
We decided to try Riddle & Brantley and they agreed to handle our case. They are truly a top notch law firm.

Called seeking assistance with my SSDI case and received a canned letter stating they could not represent my case with NO EXPLANATION. This goes against the card they sent saying "we pride ourselves on providing honest feedback." In the letter they were quick to say if you need further help to contact them, no thanks and will not refer anyone to them.

Very unpleasant, beware of lawyers no care attitude as long as they get their cases closed at any cheap price, you mean nothing to them. And they also pressure you to settle for anything no matter how bad you were injured in the accident. Wouldn't recommend a dog to this law firm.

I would like to share my experience with the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin because I am pleased with their representation in my personal injury claim and would refer them to others. The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin settled my case and helped with my medical treatment bills, my lost wage, and money for my pain and suffering. I was struck by a truck on my road bike and missed one week of work and a week's worth of salary, visited the emergency room three times, and completed six weeks of physical therapy.

I was riding my road bike, equipped with a front and rear light, when I heard a loud smack. The driver of a full size truck, F-350, with extended side view mirrors, failed to reduce speed. The side view mirror struck my body and then broke off and shattered the passenger window. I was on the ground and repeated aloud “I need help, I am hurt”. I felt pain on the left side of my body, this includes my left shoulder, left side of my back, left hip, left arm, upper left leg, and beside my left knee. When the ambulance arrived, my neck was put in a brace and I was wheeled onto the ambulance on a stretcher. I arrived at the hospital in pain. I could not lift my left arm. There were two bruises, the size of tennis balls on my left shoulder blade and underneath the bottom of my left shoulder blade, from where the driver's side view mirror hit me, in addition to abrasions of multiple sites to the left side of my body.
