My probation officer had violated me for the 3rd time. I was so worried of going back to jail that I decided to hire an attorney which was a process in itself but thankfully I found Ms.Balwin. From the beginning she made me feel comfortable. At my violation hearing the probation department recommended a 16 month sentence. Mind you, all of my violations had been technical which means no new charges. I was so confused and in misbelief but ms.baldwin kept me from getting remanded. A month later at sentencing she was able to get my probation reinstated with absolutely NO jail time!! Usually three violations look horrible and they did but she was able to show the judge all the positive things I was doing in life and the community. I was charged with a theft with several priors. Because I had strikes on my record, the district attorney offered 4 years. When Maureen Baldwin took over my case, she got the judge to release me from jail so I could do some programs that I was doing to better myself. I was charged with sexually molesting my step-daughter years ago. I was innocent and wanted to fight all the charges.
