I would like to share my experience of going through the divorce with the readers, before I knew about this firm and Casey, I went to another firm in Merced which was recommended as a prominent attorney, his wife as his PA asked for lots of documents and forms to complete which took me while and with help of other I did , they asked for lots of money to start with I see to their demands over and over, kept me waiting for several years , and asked for more and more money, any time I went to ask for the progress on my paid time I learned more about his family birth , accidents, divorce and death than my own case, finally I refused to pay more money until I see him in the court, he responded by giving back piles of papers which was supposed to be my file and showed me the door. I start searching and my son recommended Casey, I really believe she is not just the attorney with exceedingly professional , caring, knowledge, organized and readiness skills qualities, I believe she is an angel, when I saw her and my file was organized in different folder I noticed most essential part of my documents were missing, but she comforted me and with friendly attitude tried to sort my problem, with fraction of money I paid to the other firm within 6 months with readiness beyond my believe she solved my problem, I would like to say thank you my angel you are excellent.

UPDATE! Not A Fake Review! The reason why Ms. Aitchison is so persistent in denying that she even has ever heard of me is that she knows she cashed the check I wrote to her for her "services". If I am being investigated for being a fake then that is news to me! All anybody has to do is contact me and I will be happy to provide them with a copy of the cancelled check. If there is any one thing I can't stand it is when someone is dishonest, lies, and/or cheats!" My previous reviews stands!

Negative reviews are never easy to write or read. You always want to look at things in a positive way. I wish there was something about our experience with Ms. Aitchison's work that we could find positive! Simply put it was a colossal waste of time and money. She did nothing but give us incorrect and misleading information. But she was nice enough to give us our money back- NOT! We had to go to another lawyer in Merced to get the damn truth. Sad that a "professional" person could behave in such a deceiving and conniving way. I would give her ZERO stars if it was an option. Save your time and money, go elsewhere!

Update:- Funny isn't it when facing the truth many lawyers try to change the subject to side step the real question or concern! It wasn't ever about the money (non-nonrefundable retainer). It was about talking with her client(s) and providing accurate information so we could comply with the legal systems requirements to complete a non-contested divorce. This office provided misleading and incorrect filing documents for us to complete and when we tried contacting her office to report the errors and obtain the correct paperwork she would take the call... and never returned the call. We paid for her professional legal services that were never provided. Must not have been that big of deal to her for her to not remember (she probably doesn't remember deposited my check either!). Selective memory on her part to say the least.

We went to Casey for a “consultation” which costed us $200. We had been in and out of family court for almost 2 years doing everything in our power and asked from us with astonishingly disappointing results so we figured we need to see a good lawyer and perhaps have them present our case since our efforts were not being taken seriously in court. We have so much information we have gathered ourselves, paperwork, proof etc which was all discussed during said consultation. First off, my husband and I don’t have family/friends to sit for us and didn’t have the child who is being discussed present the day of our meeting but had our other young child present but figured we could keep her aside and keep her busy as we must do at times. First thing Casey points out is how she can’t be present at the meeting which is understandable but furthermore proceeds to assume and verbally expressed that we have our children present and or otherwise engaged in our conversations pertaining to court etc which my husband and I found very offensive. After I corrected her on that we moved on to our meeting where she then came off rude and uninterested, not letting me finish speaking, constantly correcting be before I would finish my sentences and having an answer for every bit of information given. I was very disappointed in the consultation given and finished it off trying to garnish ANY help I possibly could. My final thoughts are I went to Casey’s office after reading the good reviews because I thought she would/could be helpful and we fully intend on having someone, a lawyer on retainer, we can trust, engaged and actively pursuing our case to help achieve a better outcome and we will not be returning. Sadly, situations like these are what give people little to no hope in our justice system and/or legal service workers and leave you feeling scammed.

Mrs. Aitchison and her staff are very professional, calls or emails were always returned in a timely manner and her knowledge of and experience in family law made a very difficult and emotional case easier to process. She was highly recommended to me and I was not disappointed.

Casey has been my lawyer for several issues. She has always gone above and beyond for me. She cares about my case and does everything she can to achieve the best possible outcome. She is very knowledgeable, professional, and proficient and works very hard to get things done quickly. I highly recommend Casey for any legal matters and will continue to recommend her to anyone I know who has a need for legal help/advice. Casey is the best lawyer in the area by far and I will continue to use her for any legal matters.

I just retained her and she was very helpful and kind and caring she was also honest about everything i would recommend her to everyone any negative reviews here are seen by me as clients who didnt get thier way in court which sometimes happens the point here is that this lawyer is doing her job and being helpful you cannot make everyone happy although i must say she is very awesome and i like her i left her office feeling a freedom and a peace like never before

I was dealing with a very complicated divorce. Casey came highly recommended by a friend of mine who had recently been represented by her office. My case was probably much more complicated than most, in that it was a long term marriage involving children and multiple business interests. Casey was realistic when explaining potential outcomes of my case. Casey was prompt in her correspondence with the courts and was able to get my case resolved in a reasonable amount of time given the multitude of issues my case presented. Going through this process is emotionally and at time physically draining. I was fortunate enough to have chosen the right person for the job the first time. I would highly recommend Casey as a conscious and competent attorney who fought for what was right in my case.

I went from NOT seeing my son to having 50/50. She is smart and logical and very friendly. Her presences in the court room gives you the confidence and insurance that things are going to be alright. I HIGHLY recommend her to anybody that needs a family lawyer.

Wasted my time and money. She cant even suggest steps to undertake, was rushing, feeling bored about the seriousness of my case and even expressed affinity for the opposite party despite credible evidences. Not everything in google is accurate.

With a family that needs help with one answered question, and even had a prior counceltation with, she could've at least spoke in a professional manner and at least apologize to a family in need that she cannot answer a question without her $100.
