Whatever you do, please read this review before hiring this law firm. It will be the best decision you ever made. Here goes nothing....I hired Cordell and Cordell five months ago to handle a paternity petition that I filed in Sedgwick County, KS. In my first consultation, I asked what the expected cost would be to me provided we didn’t have to go to a trial. While my attorney told me that he couldn’t give me a specific amount, he said $5,000 sounded reasonable. Here we are five months later, NOTHING has been resolved, I still haven’t seen my children, we spent a grand total of 5 minutes in court where Chris Randle (my attorney) basically agreed with everything the respondent’s (my children’s mother) attorney said, and I’m out almost $10,000, if you include my $1800 retainer. I am not a rich man. I am your average, middle class worker who works long and hard for what I have. This firm could careless about me or my kids. They only care about money. I now am going to have to hire another attorney because I can’t afford this one, don’t have much money left to do so, and again, still haven’t seen my children. I feel lost and hopeless, and it’s all because Cordell and Cordell wanted to squeeze as much money out of me as fast as they could. Please, if you are a father and care about your children, do not hire this firm. They will exploit you in any way they can and tell you you’re SOL.
To close up this book of a review, let me say this, my interaction with Cordell and Cordell concludes with Chris Randle telling me he would have to withdraw (on February 9, 2020) and then BACKDATING the withdraw date (February 3, 2020), and withdrew. He did this because I refused to pay Cordell and Cordell ANOTHER $3,000 (I owed $1098 at that point plus another $1,800 retainer). I offered $1500 which was all of the money I had, but he still withdrew. These people ONLY care about money. The last interaction I had with Cindy Hughes, the “Client Care Representative,” spoke volumes to this money-centered representation. Hire someone who makes you feel valuable as a client and shows you that they care more about the outcome of your case rather than how much money they can get out of you. It makes me sad that we live in a world where a company can do something like this to someone and just leave them hanging out to dry. It’s awful. If you do hire this firm and make enough money to pay their ridiculous retainers and weekly bills, you probably love them, as they act like they are your best friend when you’re shelling out money. Get a little behind or have some difficult times financially and they will inundate your phone with texts and calls regarding your past due amount.
Oh, and one more thing: the lawyers from this firm seem to do the opposite of what is best for you. I would love to go into detail on that statement, but no one would read a review that long. This one is long enough as it is. Do yourself a huge favor and choose different representation.

They are helping get shared custody of my son and I'm so thankful for them
