She is biased against males/fathers. I asked for one night with my kids free from any activities on Sundays during mediation. She declined my request and contributed to the separation from my children. After this experience, the difficulties with my ex grew even more.

She was great! As a male, she was a shark!

She was aweful. She had showed no Respect towards me as her client, would not listen to my concerns, and wanted me agree to any offer the other party suggested no matter how unfair it was and I refused to agree. She was fired. Do not use Stacey Ortega.

This lady was extremely rude and showed no respect for others around her or for the seriousness of the situation. Hopefully in the future she'll decide that she can treat others with respect and still feel important and special.

I was assigned Stacy Ortega for LCM on Nov 8th.

Her staff is incompetent and rude. The very first intake call, her front-desk lady berated me for not having my paperwork done because it came in on "August 11th" (can't read a date), and that it was an inordinate amount of time that I took to complete it.

I went ahead and completed the paperwork, and waited 10 days for a response about intake for LCM. Stacy's office never called.

I called them, and the same rude employee answered the phone. Once I explained my situation, she began asking me repeatedly for details that were contained in the paperwork that Stacy's office had for 10 days. Several times I explained that she could find the answer to her questions in the paperwork she was in possession of. Eventually she got frustrated and ended the call.

After some time, Stacy returned my call, finally! However, she only wanted to complain about me trying to hold employee accountable, and to have the case assigned to a different case manager, after nearly a month of issues.

If you're ever assigned this person as a mediator, or need an attorney that will engage with you in a reasonable amount of time, I'd suggest you run not walk elsewhere !

The absolute worst lawyer ever. Lied and overcharged. Very rude!

Stacy Ortega was the worst lawyer to hire for our child support/time adjustment case. To begin, her case load is immensely more than she can handle. We had a terrible time getting a hold of her or responses to our questions. At one point our LCM had asked us to gather character witnesses and we had to tell her we couldn't ever get ahold of Stacy to ask exactly who we were supposed to recruit. She eventually got back to everyone asking for a personal extension because her work load was overwhelming. She was dealing with our personal lives in the greatest aspect and couldn't give us the time of day. When everything was settled it took her no time to ask for payment. In fact, we talked to her 10x more when she was looking for compensation than when we actually needed her help. My advice to anyone considering hiring Stacy is to not. She might be a good lawyer, but we'd never know because she was never fully involved or on the same page as everyone else in the court case. We will never work with Mrs. Ortega again.

Stacy handled limited case management for a child custody issues that I was fighting. I found her to be rude, cold, and clearly biased. It wasn't until FINALLY she decided to speak to the kids (after I insisted) that she realized mom was stretching the truth. I will give her that, but the experience was very distasteful and I would never recommend her for any legal matter.
