In 2013, my husband sustained a minor injury on the job. We went through the usual medical care, went in for a minor out patient surgery then sent home to recover.

As things when along we learned that my husband developed a debilitating, very painful neurological disease. At this point everything went from minor to catastrophic life changing event.

We knew that day we needed representation as we were dealing with the rest of our lives financially and medically. We made appointments with 5 different attorneys to interview to find one that would pay attention to detail, get out in front of the insurance company, and someone that had the knowledge and the experience to handle the decisions that would effect the rest of our lives and our families lives.

Mike was the first lawyer we met with. As we set in the lobby of Hall Ansley Law Firm waiting for our appointment time, two of Mike Mergen's clients approached and stated "This is the place you want to be, these people will fight for you, your rights, and what you need. MMMM very good sign. We entered Mike's office and spoke for around an hour about what he could do for us, should we hire him, what our rights were, a timeline was given to us from Mike and a straight forward talk about what he could make happen. After getting the straight talk from Mike, with no pie in the sky responses we hired him that day and never went to another attorney. This was the best decision we could have made.

Through the 3 years of handling the case I must say I was impressed with Mike's availability to us. If he didn't answer our calls, he returned the call usually within the hour. He kept us informed of every twist and turn in our settlement case. Mike's availability and response were quick, accurate, and to my surprise returning answers on questions on Saturday's and even a Sunday or two my email. I know I had many questions, and no matter how insignificant the question was, Mike would always reply.

Through many hours of back and forth with the insurance company Mike kept the medical care approved, and medications approved, which were constantly being denied by the insurance company.

So now we are to the final day were we meet with Mike and sign our settlement agreement, and get our check, which was very fair and more than we could have hoped for, along with life long medical care left opened for my husband. That day we shook hands and thanked Mike, along with the hand shake came a statement from Mike. "I will always be your representation on this case and will be there if you need anything through the opened medical."

We are now going into the 6th year of open medical care and have had a few bumps with the insurance company along the way, Each and every time Mike responded and advised us on what we needed to do. Now we are coming to a big bump with the life long medical and Mike is there. I rest very easy knowing he is, as does my husband.

My husband suffered an injury at work Which resulted in a workman's comp claim on his back. He needed surgery to fix his back, and workman's com was very uncooperative. My husband was unable to walk due to the injury, and workman's comp was dragging their feet, and trying to deny surgery, claiming there was a pre existing condition. We had exhausted all of our efforts in trying to deal with workman's comp on our own and decided to contact an attorney. The attorney we hired was willing to take the case, but was not willing to advocate on my husband's behalf to dig in and see why he could not get the treatment to make him better. We decided to try and search for another attorney, as we felt nobody was on our side. In the mean time my husband had been in bed for over 3 months, taking pain pills, waiting on surgery, and finally being denied surgery and the pain pills he was being prescribed were cut off. When we contacted Hall Ansley, They immediately made us feel as though someone would be willing to listen and help. They worked around my schedule so that I could meet with them with my husband, since I was the only one working. They gave us confidence that they would advocate for our needs and help us navigate the workman's comp system. Chip Lee and Michael mergen went above and beyond to get workman's com to re evaluate the need for surgery, the need for the pain pills waiting for Surgery and lost wages being back paid from the time of injury and was there every step of the way making sure every detail was covered and that my husband was taken care of from the moment they took the case until the day the case was over. I couldn't have been more happy with the compassion they showed for our circumstances and the lengths they went to to get my husband treated so he could get back to work. They did a wonderful job for us and we would recommend them to anybody in need of help. After 9 months off work, a double discectomy to his back and weeks and weeks of physical therapy, he was finally released and they negotiated a settlement that we felt was fair. They did great work and we appreciate all of them.

There was little activity on my case from the beginning, even though they were excited about the possibilities. Things happened that I don’t agree with, influences I believe is the culprit. I never saw a fight just an amazement over the oppositions attorney. They will hold it against me but I have a passion to do what is right and to fight for what is right and what I believe in personally. If someone tells me they are going to do something that is what I expect nothing less. Then it took forever to end the case. I have only found one attorney that does what he says he is going to do. I may have a second attorney that seems to be good so far. Neither of these attorneys are in Springfield!

I have used the service's of Hall Ansley on two separate matters over the past five year's, and I couldn't be happier.

These people are a total waste of your time. Double talk you, don't listen to what you have to say and sound incompetent. They talk over you and seem totally uninterested in what you have to say. They seemed more interested in whether or not i had called someone else b/4 them (i was asked by two different ladies) and never wanted to listen to my problem. I have to wonder if their attorneys know how people who call are being treated. I would like to tell them if i could get through the phone answerers. Not possible. I've got a good, not frivolous, case for them. They should listen.
