2 Positive reviews on here are from office staff acting as clients. Negative reviews are from his clients and are accurate ! Tiffany with the office staff was very rude, they were very disorganized, never returned calls , court dates were rescheduled many times and the matter was drug out unnecessarily for over 2 years . We were never notified of paperwork from opposing attorney and Mr Phillips never responded to them .Found out after the fact of hiring a new attorney and requesting our case information from Tiffany and this information was there. Mr Phillips never notified us nor did he respond to it. Finally had enough and hired another attorney .That attorney handled and finalized things within 30 days, very happy with the final outcome. If I could give this a zero rating I would. This was a joke and a waste of time and money. I do not recommend this attorney.

I don't know who Jaime got to write positive reviews for his account, but it is not reflective of who he is as a person or professional. He regularly lies to clients, miss important dates, and misrepresents their interests. This is all factual and that is why he switched to military law, because he had worn out his welcome in Clarksville circuit court. Whenever I had to sit in court and hear his name called over something without failure I would see a silent eye roll or groan from either the judge or other lawyers. I haven't had to deal with him in a long time, but my memory is still fresh of all the trouble he caused me. It is with great surprise that he honestly hasn't been disbarred yet, he has the energy level of Roy Cohn
(Trump's lawyer in the 80's). I sincerely hope Mr. Phillips has shaped up his professional conduct and code of ethics, but I doubt it.

I would retain James again. During our first discussion it was obvious that he knew how to represent me and I had no qualms about retaining him even though he was located several states away. My case lingered for five months and he was always a text/phone call away to answer many questions I had along the way. His fee was much better than his competitors and he won my case.

I watched him neglect his client, poorly prepare for trial, fail to select a witness whose testimony was disallowed, try to sneak testimony, fail to ask me for testimony, fail to introduce prepared testimony and completely introduce testimony that had bee prepared. Fail to introduce helpful evidence, recall me as a witness, and present a poor closing statement.

He was unapologetic and arrogant. He only posts his successful cases as if his failures don't count.

As an experienced trial lawyer, I found his conduct deplorable to me and his client and a shameful display from what I experienced.

In response to your response, I saw you, spoke to you, and observed you. I was there behind the scenes. I spoke to the participants and spoke to your client with his repeated dissatisfaction.

You feeble denial is rejected. And I found it egregiously unprofessional that you mentioned your client's name.

I demand that you remove it or I will report you.

Obviously, you both refuse and are oblivious to your short comings.

In my experience with you, I made an error in retaining you

I would like to start off by saying thank you first Mr. Phillips. I was dealing with a GCM for over two years, during that time TDS lied to me, my command lied to me and was doing shady things behind my back. I brought on Mr. Phillips maybe six months before my GCM ( please don't wait like I did) and within the first week I was able to find out so much info that was being hid from me that I needed to know. During my time with Mr. Phillips I was able to keep in contact and I was also able to receive info in a timely manner. Mr. Phillips made sure I understood all that was going on and outcomes. Dealing with financial issues he was very affordable and allowed me to make payments to settle my debt. End result I was found NOT GUILTY of all charges. Again me and my family would like to thank you for all you've done by saving my career and saving me from being taken from my family.

James is an outstanding attorney who is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of military law. I cannot stress the importance of that in this day and age where the cards are already stacked against you, especially if you are a Soldier, Sailor, Marine, or Airmen. He was highly recommended to me and I would highly recommend anyone to him. I have referred clients to him that are friends of mine because I wanted them to have the best chance of winning their cases and have an attorney that would put forth the maximum effort possible. Some military attorneys are decent but they only want hours in a courtroom, they don't care about winning or losing. I personally had a legal issue drag out years and James and I became friends during that time. He was the only one truly fighting for me and the only one that cared about what my family and I were going through. When your career, your future, and your freedom are on the line I can personally attest that he is the one you want sitting next to you, whether it's a trial, separation board, MEB, or otherwise.

Basically did absolutely nothing with my case but take my money. Afterwards I could never reach him to even defend me. By the grace of God I was able to beat my case by myself. Made my situation seem worse than what it was by trying to push a court martial just so he could get another $3000 out of me. Doesnt dress professional and is a snake. I will be working on having him blacklisted

Mr. Phillip's is a lawyer who will fight tooth and nail, definitely recommend to anyone who needs a GREAT lawyer. If you want your best odds to win, this is your guy hands down. I wouldn't be here writing this review if it wasnt for James Phillips. I was undergoing a general court martial, looking at potentially a lot of jail time, for something I was falsely accused of. That's something alot of soldiers dont come back from, at least with out a scratch. But I tell you what that's exactly what happened not only did he beat my case, I was found NOT guilty of all my charges, and now I get to enjoy my family thanks to Mr James Phillips.

He was an honest man and explained my case clearly while other lawyers tried to exploit me

Mr. Phillips is the best trial lawyer hands down.

I had a long miserable road with being under investigation by the Army. I immediately hired Mr. Phillips when I found out I was in trouble. He was very good about staying in contact with me throughout the year and a half ordeal. I could call or text him and he would always get back to me in a reasonable amount of time.

I was court martialed for numerous exaggerated and over charged false accusations of domestic violence. I was charged with 13 specifications of UCMJ violations facing a dishonorable discharge and up to 31 years in a federal prison.

I told Mr. Phillips the truth about what had happened between my ex-wife and I from the beginning. I admitted that I went too far on a few occasions throughout our marriage, but that she was blatantly exaggerating about most of the accusations, because she wanted money.

The day of my trial came and before the trial was over, the judge had already dismissed two of the specifications, thanks to Mr. Phillips’ knowledge of the law.

Mr. Phillips did a wonderful job of cross-examining the people against me and impeached my ex-wife as a witness. I told the truth about what I had done and adamantly denied the false accusations.

My end result was a conviction of three specifications of misdemeanor level Assault Consummated by Battery (what I admitted to) and not guilty on all the remaining specifications.

I was still facing up to 18 months in prison at this point. Mr. Phillips did a wonderful job of presenting my character and rehabilitative potential during the sentencing proceedings. The prosecution wanted the panel to throw the book at me. Mr. Phillips asked the panel to grant me a bad conduct discharge and no jail time. That is exactly what I got and the money paid to Mr. Phillips includes his services for fighting to get my discharge upgraded down the road.

I owe my LIFE to this man! If you have any legal troubles, just TRUST what he tells you and have faith in his nearly twenty years of experience!
