Was a swift and easy process!
This is a third-rate law firm that can’t do the fundamentals -- letters to physicians without typos and staying on top of the case – much less push for a good settlement. Failures in execution included both the paralegal and Connor Breen. Beyond the execution failures, the two most frustrating issues with Connor Breen are his poor communication skills and passivity with the insurance company.
Connor Breen doesn’t answer questions, replies with non-sequiturs, and can’t articulate a case strategy or defense. Separately, his approach is to let the insurance company drive everything. Connor’s lack of ideas and deference to the insurance company made it seem like he was working for them, not me. Realizing that he was on the phone with the insurance representative without me being able to hear what he said makes me shudder. As a result of the cumulative incompetence and passivity, Connor Breen didn’t even get double the amount the insurance company offered me before I went to a law firm.
I met with Richard Breen when I picked up the frustratingly-low settlement check to talk about the failures in execution, case management and communication, and he did nothing. Richard Breen took no responsibility for the failures of his firm, and dismissed execution issues with “It happens.” Be warned that if you choose Breen Law, Richard Breen may tell you “It happens” when they do nothing for your case.
To be clear, I was a real client. Look carefully at these reviews. One is from Connor Breen, Richard Breen’s son and an incompetent attorney. It says a lot about Breen Law that they’re gaming the reviews. I don’t know the other reviewers, but be skeptical of 5-star reviews for this firm.
