Very professional

Very unprofessional lawyer!!! Went months without returning my calls regarding my divorce. My case dealt with not only my divorce but me trying to protect my children from my abusive ex-husband. Eric disregarded my concern for safety for my children and myself. Eric forgot court dates on days we had to show up in court, other times he was very late to court. He was late to our mediation. When he did arrive we sat in mediation for 6 hours and the majority of the time he kept falling asleep. He was snoring when he fell asleep too. He charged me full price even though he slept through most of it. At the beginning of the mediation I asked Eric to see if someone could make sure my ex did not have his gun on him because I was fearful for my life of him and when Eric asked my ex he did it in a way that mocked my concerns for safety. I had to consult with the Kentucky Bar Association on how to best handle Eric and how unprofessional he was when handling my case. I would HIGHLY NOT recommend using his services and those who have had issues with his inappropriate and unprofessional services, also contact the Kentucky Bar Association.

My sister paid him a $1000 to start her custody case. This was in February and he hasn’t started her case at all. He won’t even answer her calls she had to call him on a different number just to get in touch with him... It’s sad that he is taking advantage of these people. She is suing him!!!

got a very good friend that is disabled and deaf so i have go here to help him out where he is deaf he was charged $2500 up front and its been almost 3 monts and has done nothing i mean absolutly nothing do not i stress DO NOT waste your money here i guess eric grinell gets off on taking advantage of disabled ppl so now time to find another attourney to sue to get money back this is a waste of my time too but jus maybe 1 more bad review will take a customer else where

I paid for a divorce in October 2015 and guess what the divorce has never been finalized and he was paid in full.. I was susp to have a new court date on June 20th jessamine county court house has no record of a court date being filed.

I hired Mr. Grinnell in April 2017. As I was completely new to this family court/law experience, at that time I truly believed I had made an amazing choice when hiring him. He was knowledgeable and supportive. He went to court with me once and has literally done NOTHING since. Not one thing. After a year of being dragged along, I filed a bar complaint, which was successful despite him placing all the blame on me for why he didn't communicate or act on my behalf.

He does not communicate. He does not act in the best interest of his clients, not truly. He's scatterbrained and all over the place despite how obvious it is he is well-educated. He has the potential to be a great attorney but lacks the motivation to follow through on anything especially if it will take true effort.

Do not hire him!

Do yourself a favor and have nothing to do with this man. Horrible lawyer. Horrible person. Very unprofessional. Makes appointments he doesn't keep. Tells you he'll work on doing this or that, nothing is done. Makes big promises and then just doesn't bother to do anything at all beyond making new promises and dragging everything out for more money.
Inappropriate comments made about women and people of other races. I was horrified that this was what I had hired to represent me. And when the chips fall I was exactly where I was told I'd before hiring him, just out of a ton of money.

Mr. Grinnell is personable, knowledgeable, and truly cares about what is best for his clients, their children and even the respondent. He is able to navigate the complexities of family law to accomplish just outcomes. He is able to read people well and give helpful advice on courses of action.

Great and thorough. He has a deep understanding on many issues for children's rights and diverse. He is helping us quickly and accurately navigate our case.

I met and paid Mr. Grinell in January 2017, it was April before he filed for divorce, it's now September and my case is still active and nothing has been done or filed since April. The real kicker is he was never very good at communicating with me about my case but now blatantly won't answer my phone calls, I've been calling for 3 months, leaving messages to no avail. Lastly, this is a non contested divorce at this point, my husband had agreed to all of my terms but I can't even get in contact with my lawyer so we can move forward. I would say take your time in picking an attorney and be very careful who you choose.
