Mr. Carter and his associates are very adamant, assiduous professionals who are exceptionally detail-oriented. Doug is a remarkably reputable attorney in the tri-cities area. I was referred to him by several friends once they heard I was looking for a "damned good attorney who knew what he was doing". His paralegal who handles most of the phone calls is thoroughly educated with the justice system and knows her stuff!! This law office, I promise you, is WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY and then some!!! 150% satisfied and my case is still open. If you seriously need an attorney, I will recommend them 1,000 times over any day.

***UPDATE***08/2018- Mr. Carter and his associates have been helping me and my daughter since 02/2017 when I first filed for divorce to better our lives. Google would not let me add a second review. Therefore, I am updating this one so other people that are in situations that need help can see how worthwhile it is to have someone like Doug Carter on your side. Mr. Carter is unreservedly the BEST attorney in the Tri-Cities Area. Between him and his office associates, they have answered every question I have had and have assisted me with my case in every way possible. I cannot begin to express the level of gratitude I have for each and every individual that works in that office. If Mr. Carter was ever away from the office, he would see to it that someone would be there to help me in his absence. DO NOT HIRE. This man only cares about money, and does not have his client’s best interest in mind. His goal is to do as little as possible to take your money. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Get a better lawyer. DOUGLAS CARTER IS A JOKE.

He didn’t care that my ex abused me, and said that didn’t mean he’d abuse my child. He even said he was friends with my ex’s lawyer. He was an hour late to mediation and when he did finally show up he sat there while I argued with my ex’s lawyer. Then when I told him I wasn’t okay with the custody agreement being proposed he said it would be easy to change and that I should agree with it. HE IS A LIAR, a misogynist, and he doesn’t care how his laziness and lack of concern has negatively influenced mine and my child’s life ever since this custody agreement was made.

I called in to inquire on information about a situation and get pricing. I was treated with the utmost disrespect by the lady answering the phone. She told me to pay 2500 dollars and that she had other people holding on other lines. My business is now with Jim Williams who does not allow people to be treated unimportant!!!

Save your $ he was no help and just took my $ had to get another lawyer hired him in June 2019 did nothing until the end of July by August 2019 said I was out of $ never even went to court $2600.00 down the drain I would save my $ and time and go somewhere else

Another Lawyer = ALL ABOUT THE $$$$. Only time i saw him smile was. He's NOT ABOUT the cause. Not very knowledgeable about the child support law. He got my $$ did the minimal and never heard again from him. I do not recommend. Sad when yr a single mother fighting a corrupt system and an ex husband.

Over charged us for his hour long conversations with the other attorney who he admitted was a "good friend" of his, lied about his emails and paperwork sent out. We estimated HALF of the time he says he has worked on our case. We also know for a fact he withheld the documents for OVER A MONTH to keep our money in his pocket. His paperwork is sketchy, he doesn't fight for what you deserve, he keeps you around for the cash. He went off topic, speaking about his pets and family, then charged US for it. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.

Doug Carter is a excellent attorney.

During my initial consultation with Mr. Carter I made clear to him that I was seeking an experienced attorney. Only after signing the retainer agreement and paying the retainer fee was I advised by Mr. Carter that he had an "assistant" as he referred to him who I was led to believe would only be taking calls during Mr. Carter's upcoming vacation. I asked Mr. Carter if he himself would be handling my case and was assured that he would be the one to handle the case.

My case was immediately turned over to Adam Haselsteiner , a new hire who had only recently passed the bar. Space does not permit me to completely convey the level of incompetence ,disrespect and disinterest in my case displayed by this individual.

I was misled by Mr. Carter and lied to by both he and Mr. Haselsteiner on several occasions. At no time did Mr. Carter address any of my concerns. I retained an experienced attorney but an inexperienced new hire fumbled my case and squandered my money. I will soon be filing formal complaints against both men.
