I rate 1 star only because there is nothing lower. Hired Mr Dorsey for a No Fault divorce. Was supposed to have a S/A within 2 weeks. 6 weeks later, I come in and half of the details are wrong. Had me sign a incorrect S/A that needed a notary, without the notary present, told me he would correct it and get the seal put on it. (Should have bailed then) Left about a dozen phone messages, never returned my call. After waiting 2 months with no progress or returned phone calls, I barged in and demanded a full refund. He had yet to create the S/A. He acted puzzled and pretended to not know who I was. Luckily for me he had new clients coming in right behind me, as soon as they arrived in the lobby, he became sincere, took me into his office and gave me the check.
It's hard for me to believe he is allowed to practice law. (BTW, Hired new lawyer down the street, Divorce was final in 4.5 weeks.)

Most knowledgeable and caring attorney out there. If you want an attorney that can get it done this is the man! He’s such a blessing!!!

Really don't know what to say about this lawyer

Don't do it !!!! Came to first court visit & we overheard him ask my X son-in-law why they were there. Kept losing papers and asking our lawyer to resend them. In the morning he said ok, I'll send those papers back right away and that afternoon called back and said we never sent them to him. We sent them 3 times. Procrastinates and has poor reputation within the legal community.

Mr. Dorsey took my case and I was hoping for a miracle. After a long period of time that miracle didn’t happen, at first. It wasn’t because Mr. Dorsey wasn’t doing his job, it was quite the opposite. He knows the law and the way it works. It’s very hard to be patient when you feel that your whole life is about to implode. Little did I realize how much he was doing behind the scenes. My predicament could not have had a better outcome in the long run. It was a long ride and 100% worth it. Be patient and have faith and Mr. Dorsey and his wonderful assistant Anita , will take the best care of your needs. Thank you for giving me a second chance at life Mr. Dorsey and Anita.

I wouldn't have given him a full star if I could've given a half I would've, he is inept, I wouldn't even call him an attorney, he clearly does not have knowledge of Virginia law. Do not hire him,it will be a waste of your money and time.

Jeffrey Dorsey done nothing for my Daughter she had gotten burned from kitchen grease on her legs arms and face. He took her case sent us a letter stating he would handle everything we turned all medical bills over to him. Kept waiting and calling to find out status of case he would never return calls So we showed up one day at his office mind you at this point it was a month ftom the 2 year mark for doing anything He told us everything was good getting ready to close case we would start receiving letters in the mail well here it is 2 years later and we never received anything not even reimbursement for Dr bills. My Daughter still has scars from that day but we Thank God everyday it was not worst than it was..Would I recommend this man absolutely not hes very dishonest and very unorganized which is a understatement.

Mr. Dorsey was extremely professional knew exactly where we were going with our case and he handled everything at every turn and every corner. When I had questions about what was going on he was fully responsive. He handled both mine and my wife's case. We could not have been any happier with The outcome one charge was completely drop thanks to Mr. Dorsey and the other lessened by a great amount. Recommend him to anyone looking for any lawyer services. And I will say thank you to Mr. Dorsey for all his help.

Agree with the other review wish I could give less than one star, he was not the cheapest lawyer which is why I went with him. It was a simple divorce I was promised done in 6 weeks, its now been over 12 weeks, his office will not return calls or give updates I have had to contact them every time. My papers were ready to sign and had I not called they wouldn't have told me, I even had to contact my ex myself for her to come there and sign her part. Very disappointing experience i would not recommend him for any case no matter how small.

I would recommend him to ANYONE in need of a good lawyer. He's the best!

Mr. Dorsey represented me very well. I am so appreciative of his diligence and insight into my situation. I was very devastated because of the divorce. I had been married for many years. He had a plan. I did not. I now live well because of him. Thank you Mr. Dorsey!

I wish I could give Mr Dorsey less than 1 star! He did nothing for me what so ever except go to court with me and sit beside me. I gave him information and he did nothing with it or did he do any investigating of his own like he told us he would. When he showed up for court he asked "so what are we here for today?" Uh really? We had discussed it several times before hand.
When you call his office he never returns your calls.
He lead us to believe he had the information to win the case and does nothing but take your money. He doesn't do what he says he will do. Horrible lawyer!!

Mr Dorsey was the best attorney ever!! From my first consultation he was straight forward and honest; which made me hire him right on the spot. Especially after meeting a few other lawyers who acted like I was not worth their time. He kept in contact with me, and did not complain once with all my phone calls and appointments that I had made. i hired him in a divorce case he never returns phone calls he let my ex wifes attorney do all the paper work. he waited until five minutes before court to ask about my finances. then while in court asking me what questions to ask. all he did was agree to everything my ex wifes attorney wanted. only thing he did do was hold my hand while my ex wifes attorney raped me. run the otherway!!!!
