We were targeted by New Kent Police Department. They falsely charged us with reckless endangerment as it relates to a police officer and not having having a VA license. When the officer pulled us over, he saw blood, he had his weapon and tried to coerce us to do/say something to justify him pulling the trigger. He stated that he didn’t see anything but he heard tires screeching and assumed it was us, which it wasn’t. We have a rear and front dash cams in our SUV that had footage of everything, even how he came to our vehicle. Full disclosure, having lived in New Kent and having been targeted several times there because of what we drive and where we live, we visited several caucasian lawyers because we ignorantly thought that would give us the best chance at winning in that area. We were WRONG! We showed each of them the footage and EACH told us ”we had no chance of winning because New Kent is a good old boy system and they don’t favor “my kind”. The most they can do is have the charges reduced.” We declined because we weren’t guilty and footage showed it. We googled more ”great” attorneys in the Richmond area and found attorney Braswell. We showed him the footage as well as the tickets and also told him what the 3 previous “lywers” said.” He immediately said, “I Can beat this. I’ve won in New Kent before. I won a case last week there. You’ve done nothing wrong. If anything you applied defensive driving due to the vehicle in front of you who came to a COMPLETE stop (on I-64).” I prefaced all that to say, Attorney Braswell is very detailed oriented. He saw immediately saw what the other “lywers” didn’t see. It didn’t take long into the case for the judge to see what was going on and the real reason we were stopped. His line of questioning made the cop so nervous that he kept changing his story and the Prosecutor interjected to ask, in he middle of the hearing, if the cop can change the charge. The judge declined and dropped the case. Attorney Braswell’s price was a little more than the previous “lywers” but he is well worth the money. He actually put in the work to ensure we’d win while the others wanted our money but didn’t want to work. Once you get your case dropped, don’t forget to get your records expunged. Just ask the lady in the cashier cage when your ticket is signed and stamped, what you need to do to get your records expunged. It’ll cost but it’s worth it.

The police officer said I was doing 86 miles a hour, and In the state of Virginia, 86 is considered reckless driving which stays on your license for 10 years.
