Charged with Reckless Driving for 85 MPH on 70 MPH highway.
Started off the new year on a high note after Jan. 2 court date.

Successful result for a reckless driving charge in Virginia. Since I live in another state, I was unable to attend the court hearing. I’ve had my fair share of 80, 90, even 100mph tickets (thankfully that 103mph wasn’t in VA!) But it’s no secret, if you want great results (and trust me you do when it comes to Reckless Driving) you need to hire excellent representation. I was fortunate enough to have met Van at a family function, and just as any other nervous nelly wanting to peer into a crystal ball I approached the man and began to verbally vomit my excuse for traveling 86mph in a 55mph zone (a highway safety corridor at that) in hopes I would hear “don’t worry I’ll do x, y and z and you’ll get by with a reduction. No criminal record, no loss of license and no heightened insurance premiums.” But that was not the case, Van looked me dead In the eye and said “well what jurisdiction” to which I replied “Henrico.” The look on his face worried me as he probed on about my driving record. “Not good I said -6.” With a deep breath and a slight grin (I assume to keep me calm…) after explaining the difficulties with Henrico courts he says to me “no worries, call the office and my team will take good care of you.” The next day I called the office, spoke with Becky who walked me through the process of preparing my defense and before you know it we were appearing for Trial. I was sweating bullets, if I lost my license, how would I provide for my family?Van convinced the judge to reduce the charge to “Improper Driving” a simple infraction! But, that did not stop the judge from leaning down from the bench and saying “young man, you do know I have every right to through you in jail right now” “Yes Sir your Honor” “I trust that Mr. Hardenbergh has made that very clear to you” “Yes Sir your Honor, he has” “Good, don’t let me catch you in my court room again or you will NOT be leaving the same way you came.” And I was out! Sweet freedom, sweet relief! I would NEVER speed in VA ever again, cruise control you’re my new best friend…

WRONG, a year later, BAM 84/55 RD again a highway safety corridor, this time in Richmond. I’ll spare you the story on that one and cut to the chase. I hired Van and his team once again, and he was able to convince the judge to dismiss, yes DISMISS the charge upon completion of a 12 hour Driver Improvement Clinic. Like it never even happened!

Safe to say I’ve learned my lesson, thankfully it wasn’t any harder than it COULD have been.

I got a reckless driving ticket (for the second time in three years) speed was 89/70 I was worried having gotten one of these before that I was out of luck on this one. I was traveling I-81 North doing 87/70 in Lexington, VA. The ticket was for reckless driving a very serious offense in Virginia. Very disappointing!! They asked for 100 hrs of community service, witness statements, 12 hour driving school and more. The lawyer I had met me 10 mins before we had to go in front of the judge and he obviously didn’t read any of the “evidence” that I did and worked hard for the past couple of months. They acted like if you’re not happy with the results they would take it to circuit court. On my court date after I pleaded guilty they said it could be a worst result if I take it to circuit court. So now a have a criminal record and I’m out thousands of dollars. If you have a speed over 100 mph don’t come to them. They’ll give you false hope and you’ll end up with the same results if you went with a different law firm that would have been much cheaper. The only good thing I can say is that they were nice people.

They weren’t very informative throughout the process. I didn’t hear from them until the day before court on the evidence I supplied them. But as far as court and the outcome. They were excellent and I couldn’t ask for anything better. I was possibly looking at jail time, loss of license, losing my career and possibly my child as well as a really hefty fine. When I got charged with reckless by speeding, I thought it was over for me. My mail was littered with letters from attorneys reaching out to help and I was overwhelmed.
