Mark Matney is a conscientious lawyer (good natured too) that will work on your behalf. His knowledge and expertise is exceptional. Watching him work the court room purposefully and meticulously let me know that he had experience— the man had a plan. Mark represented me for a speeding ticket I received when traveling through Virginia. He gave me great advice leading up to the court date that showed I was serious about correcting the mistake I made the day of the ticket. He was always available leading up to the court date, his staff was always friendly and helpful. On the day of the court date, Mark was all positive energy and calmed any nerves I had leading up to my hearing. Mr. Matney is an awesome lawyer! From the moment I chose him to represent my case, I knew I had made the right choice. He and his staff were always in contact with me keeping me updated. I was given a ticket for speeding in a work zone late at night outside of work zone hours. This ticket would've given me a huge fine plus possible reckless driving. Not only did Mr. Matney get the ticket reduced to 1-9mph over, he also agreed to go back to court to appeal the case. Ultimately, he was able to get my case completely dismissed!! I also wasn't able to appear in court on any of the dates given and he was very accommodating to my very busy schedule. Earlier this year I received a reckless driving ticket in a construction zone. I contacted a couple lawyers before deciding to go with Mr. Matney. He took my case and was immediately very helpful in getting it resolved. We went to court and they extended the hearing to take place a couple months later. Mr. Matney gave me detailed instructions on what I should do to prepare for my next court appearance. Having done all he recommended me to do, we went back to court and the case was dismissed! I could not have hoped for a better outcome. I will recommend Mr. Matney to anyone who needs a lawyer in the future. Five stars for sure!

I am a service member of 2 overseas deployments clean driving record never been in an accident and never gone to court. Was in a freak accident where the cop said I was at fault for failing to yield. Mr. Matney came to the court prepared and knew exactly the right way to go about defending it. I took a driver improvement class even though I still felt strongly I did not do it. Let me tell you I was extremely nervous but we were out of there within maybe 10 minutes he had the statue that they were trying to pin me on and said you had to prove 3 things in order for me to be convicted the cop could not prove one of them. When the cop came to scene of the accident he pretty much was saying it was 100% my fault even though there were discrepancies everywhere. Mr. Matney saw this and exploited the cops weak testimony. I have never seen a Cop back track the way this cop did now he was acting like he was our best friend and that we had valid points. If I didnt have Mr. Matney I would of had this on my criminal record where in fact in any other state it would of been the other drivers fault of rear ending me. I have served honorably and my record reflected that of a citizen who follows the rules. Yet the state of VA wants to pin reckless driving on a lot of people. Hands down without question I would hire Mr. Matney and he always seemed to put his family first. The way he cared for me during this case after it pretty much derailed my life was outstanding. He is a one of a kind lawyer and you dont find guys like him everyday. Some lawyers I talked to were stuck up or into themselves he really genuinely cares he puts your needs first and we need more people like that.
