I highly recommend Disability Action Advocates and attorney Mike Blankenship in particular.

My case went on for years, and I was kept informed every step of the way. That says a lot for this firm. The office staff I worked with was without exception courteous and professional.

Mike Blankenship won my appeal in federal court and represented me in the new hearing. He was very skilled in the hearing, effectively addressing each issue that arose. At the end of the hearing the judge said he was rendering a fully favorable decision. The judge also told me to thank my attorney “for his vigorous representation.” I certainly did.

I am very greatful for DAA taking my case when the so called experts on tv turned me down. Nancy and Mike Blankenship did an exceptional job!

Chose them thinking I made the right choice! How was I wrong! They represented me for a year and a half all the way up to 5days before my hearing only to drop me . For not having a working phone after I requested to be emailed. I spoke with my attorney 2 weeks prior to the hearing when they felt they didn't have enough information. Im trying to figure out why not after a yr and a half. Then the supervisor acted as if I was lying to him over the phone about requesting to be emailed. After their office failed to call me for a whole yr. They only made contact once my hearing was set. I received a letter the day before my hearing from their office saying they were dropping my case. Had a horrible time answering questions.Did not have the opportunity to have representation after believing these ppl would help me. The receptionist was snotty when I called them pissed . The office then made contact with me the day of my hearing with no for sure helping hand. This experience doesn't even deserve the 1 star. Oh and did I mention the judge said he hadn't even received my medical records either gave me 30 days to return them. This is not the actions of ppl wanting to help but the actions of ppl that only see you as a number. They don't even realize that their clients are ill. An many can't afford all the normal luxuries in life. During the time you are going through this. Read all the reviews on anyone you choose!!!! Don't waste borrowed time here.

I am writing this review at the request of the office. I started my case initially with DAA in July 2013. After two denials and a hearing I did finally receive benefits in Oct 2016. When I began my journey with them they were very kind, understanding and helpful. After my first denial they transferred my case to a represtentive in Reno. I struggled getting calls back. Average time would be two to three days if at all. When it came time for my hearing I spoke with an attorney on the phone to go over the details of court proceedings. The day of the hearing we met in person and spoke again on how it should go. Although I did not feel confident after my testimony, my attorney stated it went well. Three months later I received an approval. The follow up I received from the office was a call stating I was approved and if I would write a review of my experience. I am very pleased with my attorney but feel the representatives could be more prompt in returning calls and answering questions. I am truly grateful for their overall help.

Awful experience! Waited over 3 years for claim. Was denied on technology by the judge. Said they would help me on the re claim. Sent the paperwork then Jessica had someone call me to say they were not going to represent me, and gave no reason why.

Wow! What can I say about Disability Action Advocates (DAA)? Only that they are the best at what they do! Was disabled on May 18th. Received final approval from Social Security on July 28th. This would not have happened without the assistance of DAA. Nancy in the Sacramento office was awesome to work with. She was very professional, and you could always count on her to return telephone calls and answer any questions in a timely manner. All in all, this was a very painless and easy process; and I would highly recommend DAA to anyone.

I am so disappointed with this office.I signed a contract with DAA. They never really did much for me over the 2 years that they were "representing" me, I was the one that was keeping in contact with them, I pretty much made all the phone calls and asked the questions that needed to be asked. I never even got my mileage reimbursement for the trip I had to make out of town to the doctor, they couldn't even figure that out for me so I was basically screwed out of that money. Not to mention that the information from the doctors offices and hospitals that I had been seen at, those files were never gathered and followed up on because the first or maybe second attempt at requesting them they had no reply so I guess who cares even though it was highly important to my case file. I was then denied twice and finally when after my hearing I was left with a written appeal, they decide to "drop" me, it's too much for them to write a written letter of appeal that would sound a lot better coming from their office then something I could probably be putting together myself but no..that is entirely too much for them to do, I am not going to win anyways they said, what's the point, they don't want to waste any more of their time, the courts and appeals board just isn't going to see my side of things anyways so they don't want to spend any more of their efforts on this case. What efforts have you really spent on this case, I am curious? When I asked the office to send my case file, I received nothing! When I asked for help, I got nothing! I recommend these people to nobody! Advocates? HA!! Who the Hell are they advocating for? I wasted 2+ years thinking they were helping me but they didn't do a damn thing, I should have listened to what everyone else around me had been saying all along and gotten someone else to take my case and maybe I would not be in the position I am in now. Well I am appealing my case, and if I could sue your law office, I would. Hopefully enough people read this and see that your office sucks. If just one person reads this and turns away I am happy, not because you don't get the business but because it saves them from losing their case and maybe they will actually get a law office that gives a damn and provides good help. You shouldn't take advantage of people, that's just wrong, people come to you for help, and if it doesn't serve you and your company and you don't see dollar signs right away, you shouldn't just turn them away.....Maybe I won't win my case, but maybe I will. You could have just seen my case through to the end, We were almost done, one last letter, quitters! You are the ones that gave up.....not me, I am still fighting, and I am not going to stop until the end. You can't keep me down, and Mike Blankenship was on my side and he told me he knew I could win especially if we had to do an appeal, your supervisors are the jackasses who shut it down. SO...Hopefully you didn't give me false information about my appeal needing to be filed by the 29th of Dec, because I am going into the office hopefully on Tues to get this taken care of. Too bad you all were not here standing by my side, but your loss. I guess I am doing this solo.

Not worth your time. I've called twice and the advocate has given me wrong information it best to be your own advocate.
