I got a DUI last year coming from Sebastapol to Santa Rosa on HWY 12. I’ve never been to jail and didn’t know what to do. I called a buddy who is a lawyer in MN. Per his advice, he told me to get a cheap 500-dollar lawyer who would process my paperwork for me; that it was NOT worth it to fight the charges, in his PRO opinion this was a cut and dry case. Basically, throw myself on the mercy of the court.
My DUI was a bad one. I ended up with a BAC of .21 with the blood test. Anything over .2 is an enhancement, more money, more time, and more problems.
So I checked online for lawyers, called a bunch, left messages.
