Doesn't keep appointments

Do not use this attorney. He's supposed to be representing my dad and after taking $23,000 from my mom, come to find out he refuses to do appeals, he doesn't do his homework on laws he's not familiar with nor the ones that are new. He hasn't filed any motions that we've asked for and tried to push a speedy trial without ever doing any prep to defend my dad. And if you drop him from legal representation, he won't refund any of the money you paid him as a retainer. My dad is sitting in county jail while he just sits in his office doing what seems to be nothing. And after only showing up to two of the four court appearances so far, failing to show for two, and not a single motion filed out of the dozen we've asked for, he's already asking for more money. $23,000 gets you a dump truck for a lawyer that takes people for what they have, pushes a speedy trial just to get it over with and then dump you off. Find someone else to represent you and avoid being scammed out of all your money.
