I've been working with Tripp Scott for over a year now. Tanya Bower supported us in updating our corporate documents and creating a partnership agreement. After interviewing several attorneys, I'm so happy I made the choice to go with Tripp Scott.

The most horrible interaction I ever had with a professional. I sincerely hope that in the future, I will never have to deal with Mr. Douglas H. Reynolds.
Doug Reynolds and Henny Shomar are both outstanding attorneys by all measures.

This law firm ran up $500,000 in billings to a relative of mine who was suffering from undiagnosed mental health issues, and was ultimately Baker-acted by the State of Florida twice, the second time on a week lock-down at Imperial Point. Only then did Tripp Scott stop ginning up work with my relative. They have a number of techniques to run up billings on an unsophisticated and unknowing client. The billings were rife with people logging time on the identical things, time spent reading each other's internal emails, and "gang tackle" lawyering where numerous attorneys were brought into to "work" on mundane matters. Their attorneys made frequent duplicate entries on billings, often with cryptic short descriptions, "review client emails".
They often used junior lawyers with little experience to educate themselves at the client's expense. One egregious example, some of their junior attorneys worked on a simple rental tenant eviction, and billed $5000 for a service readily available from lawyers for $500. Another junior lawyer researched Euthanasia in Switzerland and produced a three page memo. Another, a senior partner, supposedly head of Tripp Scott's litigation group, filled up his billings at his "discounted" $450/hour rate on pedestrian issues such as a dispute with a restaurant tenant over a couple thousand dollar air conditioner repair.
In the end, we contested the final billings of around $100K, and rather than address the detailed issues we raised in billing errors and questions in the last round of billings, they folded up, agreed to accept a much lessor amount, and went away.

I have many mutual clients with Ian Lis and he always provides each and every one of them great service. He is one of the top attorney's in South Florida and I recommend him to clients, family and friends.

I have known Ian Lis on a professional level for many years now and have had the opportunity to seek advice from him on my business and property matters, and those of my clients. In addition to being a heck of a nice guy, I have found Ian to be very knowledgeable on a wide range of matters and adept at making quick and well-thought opinions on these matters. I would highly recommend Ian to any individual or business looking for legal advice on any business- or property-related matter.
