Actually seen the lawyer 3 times, first time of meeting, second time right before court hearing, and day of court. I thought they were on my daughter's side yet she lost 4 yrs of back pay that she had to suffer through having multiple brain surgeries. I did all the running around gathering all the paperwork, evidence and at home taking care of her needs. Now after they were paid their 25% for just being seen in court they are trying to sue my daughter with autism for what they call administration fees. When as I said I provided all the paperwork. My advice do Not go to these people they are not on your side.

These unscrupulous attorneys dropped my husbands case a few days before his trial with a disability judge. He had to get a new attorney who requested records and when they were sent there were nothing, as in not one single bit of work done on his case. The new attorney was able to help us but had to split the fee. My husband recently received a bill from these thieves for more money and when I asked for an itemized list of charges they reduced the bill but sent no list. Try any other attorney in the yellow pages these ones are crooks.

The worse law office to deal with!!! I've had a motorcycle accident of 2014 which I have barely use of my hands. At first I thought this company would be a good one to start with "first impressions" from the month I started with them I didn't hear or receive any update with what is transpiring. I received more info filing disability on my own that actually getting what I needed with them done. Zero communication from them unless I physically drive 3 1/2 hrs. there myself! So yes agitation does not even begin to describe how I'm feeling. My thing is if you can't handle the case or don't want it then say so so I can pay someone to handle it and provide me with updates. I've sent emails even providing my phone number via email as well as over the phone with there rude Secretary. You never can be called back within timely fashion if at all. Too much time wasted with very very little results. Did most of the leg work before even dealing with them and still there stagnate on what to do next....have documentation and time stamps on everything to prove it! Even missed a hearing date that they never informed me of even though they had my address, phone number as well as email to communicate that info to me. At the end of the day your better of going somewhere else where even if there are a ton of clients you'll feel as if your the only one and there working within your actual best interest.

I want to sincerely thank Karen Nixon and everyone at the firm of Kushner and Kushner. Last week I received my disability benefits and could not have done it without their help. I tried by myself two times and failed. If you are honest with them, make sure to have enough medical evidence, and learn how to be patient, they will work as hard as they can for you. I appreciate them all very much and I would highly recommend them. I got a very favorable bench decision from the judge.

Charge to much for work I did

Poor communication and does not prepare the client properly for the hearing with the judge. Did not properly research case and medical documentation for sufficient evidence needed by the judge. Now have wait another year+ for the appeal. I do not recommend them for Social Security Disability cases.

Spends time with you face to face and explains the procedure and system well to you. As the process continued I could call anytime and keep them updated on any changes with my condition via email. At the appeal hearing extremely prepared with all my records and case. Highly recommend. Thank you for helping me in this process K&K.

Roberta Kushner has the WORST bed side manner I've EVER had to deal with. My child applied for SSI benefits and she didn't even take the time to answer our questions. Please RUN to someone else because these people are definitely not for your benefit.

Jonas Kushner was ny attorney since 2011 for my disability case. Unfortunately due to some communication problems I had to go with another attorney just recently but I would still refer people to Jonas. I believe he did the best that he could with my case.

Quite possibly the worst bunch of crooks i ever might. I had them for over a year and never saw my lawyer until a week before my case and he dropped me the next day 6 days before my case. Terrible if your coming here please leave.

My wife had a tight deadline to file for Social Security disability and they gave us an appointment the next day. When we arrived we were well met and brought in promptly.

My wife was asked some questions by a guy who used to work at the Social Security administration. Next, one of the attorneys came in, told us they would take the case and and answered all our questions. After that a case worker came in and helped her fill out some paperwork and sign the contract.

All of this was done in a friendly, professional manner. However, my wife was told to call in two days to make sure her deadline had been met and at first it seemed like the case worker had forgotten her. Once we got her back on track, the paperwork was filed that same day.

The approval process can take months so I'll have to come back and update this review later, but for now I can say we're satisfied.

The worst experience of my life. These people are crooks and don't give a dam about you or your family. Go anywhere else but here. I am %100 combat disabled vet and they couldn't help. They couldn't lead themselves out of a wet paper bag, let alone anything else. Way to go blood suckers, I hope your practice falls apart!

NEVER HIRE THESE FOOLS EVER! If I could give these guys negative 5 stars, I would give that rating, but I am stuck with one star. They are the most incompetent lawyers for Social Security I have ever seen. You fill out all the paperwork, find your own doctors, and go to the Social Security office yourself. Then, in a cruel twist of fate, they ask for money that they never earned as it is you that does all the work. If you have them, do not cave in. In the courtroom, you are better off to represent yourself, I'm surprised they even know where to sit in the courtroom. I know someone who has Stage 3 COPD, which is terminal and eventually lethal. She still does not have her settlement, which should have been a slam dunk case to win, but not for these idiots. They sent a lawyer who was very unfamiliar with the case to the hearing and unsurprisingly lost. They seem to string you along to the point it is all or nothing because you have been disabled and out of work for so long you can not reapply for disability. I do not know how they have not been disbarred. I am thinking about about taking this to a class action lawsuit because I have heard this has happened to many other people. I am also thinking about taking this to the news, people need to know these lawyers are rip off artists. Again, NEVER HIRE KUSHNER AND KUSHNER unless you want to be ripped off and lose your Social Security case and end up with something you could have gotten yourself.

This is the rudest group of people. I only talked to Joseph Kushner twice. Each time he was just arrogant and rude. When I went to seek guidance I was told by Joseph he "was not a social worker." When I had no choice but to work to provide a roof over my and my sons head, food, insurance to get doctors and medications, MR Joseph told me "no one cares if you have to live under a bridge." BUT they do expect me to go on with my case with another lawyer and if in favor, they will take out their bill. When I asked about this, Joseph just hung up on me. When I called back, the lady that answered the phone just laughed as I explain situation and asking her about the bill. How can they charge me when they didn't do one thing. I did all paperwork, I found the doctors. I would NOT recommend this group of "lawyers." They lack professionalism, compassion and just being a decent human being is a LARGE task for this group

I did not have a bad experience with this law firm but, I felt like they often did not do anything to help my case. They never knew what was going on with my case, most of the time I knew more than they did. I never actually got to speak with an attorney. I am assuming I dealt with a paralegal or assistant. The lady that 'handled' my case was very nice.
