Dr Tar is the kindest and most patient doctor. He really listens and cares. Rare these days. We need more doctors like this!

Dr Tar listens to what you have to say. he makes recommendations and explains why he thinks this is the best course of action and what the alternatives are with benefits and negatives. He takes time to answer ALL your questions. You may have a little wait past your appointment time but be patient because he will take as much time with you as you need. The office staff is also friendly and helpful.

Place has a great and friendly staff, always willing to answer any question. Dr. Tar is very thorough and respectful. Works with your schedule for appointments, and very little wait time. From my experience I would definitely recommend Dr. Tar and his staff for any Arthritis problems.
Wonderful caring team, the doctor treats you respectfully and doesn’t just treat the single symptom or issue but will work with you to heal or manage you as whole. The only negatives from my visits are 1) very busy, I feel they are over booked. I’ve had to wait 1+ hrs every time I’ve had an appointment. 2) cash only, I use a medical savings account from my employer. Because it’s cash only I must get reimbursed, which often times take several weeks. Other than those things the doctor is awesome. I tell him every time I see him that I wish he was my Primary General Care Physician. He always asks how is everything, not just about the issue I was there for. I would absolutely 10/10 times refer anyone that needs a rheumatologist or allergy specialist to go see Dr. Tar

I have been a patient of Allergy and Arthritis from the beginning of their arrival in Charlotte Co. Previously, I received care through Cleveland Clinic; Westin, FL. This practice was recommended by doctors in the area. I never regretted my decision to come for treatment. Dr. Tar and Karen are passionate about providing care and treatment to their patients. Each are very intelligent and are extremely knowledgeable of their fields. They also keep current with any new treatments that become available; assessing each one for the best medicine and care plan for every individual patient. As long as this practice exists, I will be a patient.

I give this doctor's office 4 stars because the service was great. Awesome, professional doctor Tar. He is very personable and knowledgeable. However they lost a star because the wait time is really long. Over an hour just to get inital bloodwork and vitals. Not acceptable.

Dr. Tar and wife, Karen Tar are nothing less than amazing. I have never encountered a practice that cares more about patients and clients. I have been a patient for about 3 years now, battling Fibromyalgia. With much love, patience and sincere concern for me as an individual, I was able to get off all narcotic meds (prescribed by another physician) and manage my condition.
There is truly no one better in Charlotte County. That said, getting an appointment with these superstars takes a little time, and appointments do run over as there is sometimes standing room only in the waiting room. However, an opportunity to see either of these two, is/was worth waiting for. No question.

Dr tar is highly knowledgeable and I would and I would say one of the best in his field of expertise. The The wait is sometime far past the schedule appointment. I suspect it's because Dr tar never never Russia's time spent with his patients he's very thorough. If possible it would be nice send patience a phone call or text message to let them know the doctor is running behind schedule so patients could use that time to accomplish other tasks. As is patience be patient for the best rhumatology care in Florida.

Although the office doesn’t look like a typical Dr.’s Office, artwork and musical instruments adorn the walls. The staff is very attentive and Dr. Tar spends as much time as you need explaining your results and a plan of action, with the goal being a better quality of life for you.

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Tar's for 2 years. Recently the office cancelled her appointment and said they were unable to reschedule her at that time and would call her back for another appointment because they were down to 1 provider? Anyway I informed the office that she will be running out of her medicine over the weekend and asked if they could call in enough to get her through to another appointment, whoever I talked to said they would put a request in to the back. Well the weekend came and no prescriptions were called in. I called again on Monday and informed the office she was on her last day of medicine they again informed me that they would put a request in to the back. Next day still nothing....... they called and rescheduled her appointment to Friday and again I told the girl nothing has been called in yet!! Finally on Thursday after she has been out of medicine for 3 days they called in a 7 day supply of her medications!!! Really??? We found another Doctor and will not be seeing Dr. Tar again. How can you let someone go without their medicine when they have been a patient and always comes in for appointments and it was the office that cancelled her appointment. Also I have heard he will not send medical records to other Doctor's when requested, which is awful!!!! All I know is if they don't send my daughter's medical records to her new Doctor I will be filing a complaint with both our insurance companies and whoever else I need to!!!

Only giving two stars because Karren the nurse practitioner should be the doctor, not Leslie Tar. They work their front desk girl WAY to much but she is always so sweet. Dr.Tar diagnosed me with fibromyalgia and didn’t explain much to me about it just wrote a script then walked out and scheduled me for the next 3 months. In those 3 months the meds gave me more problems and my primary took me off of them and put me on different ones. Then i had gotten another diagnoses occipital neuralgia from a neurologist and got put on more meds. Then i saw Dr.Tar again. Showed up to my appointment 30 minutes early and waited in the waiting room as usual for 2 hours. Normally youd think thats a good thing because then the doctoe is spending time with his patients. My turn comes up and he spends 5 minutes with me doesnt say a word to me KNOWING im dealing with chronic pain and suffering. Then interrupts me and says “let me see if i can get you some samples of lyrica” then he quickly walks out and doesnt walk back in (he didnt say goodbye my last appointment). Then a nurse comes in and says he wrote you a prescription for lyrica and wants to see you in 6 months. He never even said ANYTHING to me about lyrica. So i said no i want to talk to him. Then they send a nurse in with a print out of lyrica. And again i said NO i want to talk to him. Then they sent in Mrs. Karren Tar the nurse practitioner who actually has some KNOWLEDGE of fibromyalgia. She showed empathy and respect towards me and told me like it is. She explained that Dr. Tar made a note “to many cooks in the kitchen”. Well in my opinion hes a huge man child. If he is a doctor he needs to learn some confrontation. Unless he’s autistic maybe there should be alittle warning because patients like me need bed side manners. I do not recommend Dr. Tar what so ever untill he learns some respect and empathy for people with chronic invisible illnesses. I travel an hour to come to this office. Thank you Karren for keeping that place in tack.

I was very encouraged that Dr. Tar seems to be very knowledgeable and concerned about patients health but unfortunately it ends at that, He diagnosed my problem and supposedly sent my prescription to my pharmacy but for what every reasons they never received it, I have called them a number of times about not getting my prescription and I also had a important question about the medicine but now a month has pasted, no return call from his office (Which I am Promised every time I call) and no prescription and so far no luck in getting my medical records, Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this Doctor that you can and find a doctor that really cares! Update: He Was completely wrong on his Diagnosis, A simple x-ray Found the real problem in which no medicine would help!

Front office is disrespectful and will not return calls. I was called for a cancelled appointment and was there for 3 hrs. Talked to the Dr. about a medication I might need a refill for. Called a couple of days later to ask for the refill and was told I needed to be seen. Also they gave me a hard time getting my records forwarded to another Dr’s Office. Several Dr’s offices that I spoke with said that they have a bad name for that. Watch out .

So discussed with this practice. I'm not the type to complain but when it come to health care others should know and be aware. Started off great I was getting my medication regularly. Then they didnt put in for them sent the wrong script to the wrong company causing me go through withdrawals never a sorry or offer samples the visit started to get shorter and the wait times longer. They took blood work every month untill I lost my insurance. They still agreed to see me without insurance. I was seen 2 times without insurance. The second time they agreed to except a parcel payment. And I agreed to pay the balance next visit. My re enrollment for my medication needed to be submitted so I contacted them and they wanted me to come in to sign so they could fax it over. While in there Karen decided to yell across the place that she would not submit the application for re enrollment untill I paid my balance on my account which was $181.00 so I told them I would be back to pay the balance. I came back that afternoon with $200 dollars and paid my bill. I told them to apply the over payment towards my next appointment that I confirmed with them to be Feb 21st 2018 at 130. I then asked them why they did not draw blood work for the past 2 visit. Their replay was it is too expensive. It has been 2 weeks now and I have not received my medication so I called to see if it was sent over only to find out that I am no longer a patient of theirs. I was told that they would look into it and call me back but I know from experience with this office they dont call back. I reached back out today to follow up and was told that I'm no longer a patient of there with no explanation why. They have me on 2 medications that I'm going to go through withdrawal from and they did not care I ask them what to do and their response was there nothing I can do for you your no longer a patient. I'm looking for legal advice? Reach out to me on Facebook.

Apparently my first review did not go through. I'm writing again. Dr. Leslie tar is an amazing Dr. (and elder care attorney). It took me quite some time to decide on a rheumatologist I could trust. I'm a retired RN. so I'm very careful who I pick and choose. Dr. Tar is patient, compassionate, very pleasant and talks to you, not "at you". He's a very good listener, asked me many questions, and took a great deal of time with me. I could not have been more pleased. Nursing home costs--$10,000. Dr. Tar saved me $60,000 right off. Medicaid Planning techniques worked. Medicaid Planning costs are high but at $10K/mo for nursing home cost, I gladly paid $15,000 without question. This guy knows the ropes. DO NOT go to someone who says they are a Medicaid Specialist and is not even an attorney. Most attorneys know nothing about Medicaid Planning. Go to an Elder Law Attorney. Dr. Tar is an attorney and a physician. He is the best around. Believe me.

Mom owns a house and I am her son and I have two sisters. We wanted to know how to proceed with making sure my sister would have the house and after she died, if my other sister and I, or either one of use were still alive, that the proceeds would go to us. Or else, they would go to our children. We met with Dr. Tar and he answered questions we did not even know we had. We talked about nursing home placement for mom and what to do to protect her assets. The time was well worth it. I met with some other the other attorneys in town and I did not feel the same way. My suggestion---don't go to a jack of all trades. Go to a specialist. If you need elder legal advise, go to an Elder Law attorney. Someone who does everything know a lot about nothing.Dr. Tar is great.

Needed a trust: I live out of state but I am now relocating to Florida. Michigan winters are too cold. My wife and I need to think about our kids and grandkids. We spoke to Dr. Tar about our needs. We has spoken to some of the other attorneys in the area but were upset with what we say. One elder law attorney says he does only elder law but I found an ad he ran for bankruptcy and personal injury. Another one is a jack of all trades but has no expertise. My attorney back home looked up Dr. Tar and told me he was the best Elder Law attorney in the area. Dr. Tar created my trust and it is exactly what I wanted. I am very happy that he helped me. So, I asked him: How do you do law and medicine at the same time? He said, "I deal with senior citizens every day. Their legal needs can be just as painful as their medical conditions. I don't chase ambulances. I just help people with what they need. I hope there is someone to help me when it is my turn." I would recommend him to anyone. Thanks, Dr. Tar.

Excellent most comprehensive experience I have had. I have never gone to a lawyer who is also a physician. I went to see an attorney and this attorney is now also my doctor. I read some of the other reviews here. These must be people who are incredibly money driven. The doctor does not determine how much the pharmacist charges for prescriptions. Dr. Tar lectures on Medicaid Planning, Nursing Home Planning, Elder Abuse, and he is and Elder Advocate. That's that type of doctor I want. That is also that type of attorney I want looking out for me. I would recommend him to anyone. His wife practices Social Security Disability law. Regrettably, she does not practice Elder Law or Estate Planning as does he. Harry Davis.
