When I arrived in Fort Myers on an emergency visit to a critically ill friend, I drove past a billboard advertising Wilbur Smith Law. I stopped the car and called the number. Zane Vetcher answered the phone and during the conversation, my anxiety over a legal matter, dissolved.

The staff and attorneys at this firm have assisted me throughout a most stressful and complicated legal matter.

I am grateful to them and highly encourage others to seek their services. Professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and most of all, dedicated to serving the needs of their clients.

had all my evidence for 7 weeks after are consultation ,said it would take 9 days to review , I called after 2 weeks and every week after never returned my call sent my papers back to me in mail , I think he never reviewed evidence , and just wasted my time

I spoke to Gerry Olivo about a case and he just wasted my time and he was no help at all. I was told this law firm was 1 of the best, but he had an attitude manner and rushed me. He recommended ME to call some places and file complaints, I asked for the numbers and he stated he didn't know them. So I googled them.. Easy to do Mr. Attorney. I got a very insincere... I feel bad for what happened to you but there's nothing I can do. This attorney basically told me because I am disabled that justice will not be done.. I have a witness, that didn't matter to him either. So, if you have a disability don't go here, if you have a witness, don't go here. Don't go here at all.. No care for getting justice from a law firm that don't care, even with proof. He rushed me off the phone and basically told me I don't have a case..
Well, you will be surprised Gerry Olivo who I have representing me now after I spoke with INTERNAL AFFAIRS AFTER I WAS FINISHED WITH TALKING TO YOU. SOME WIN.. SOME LOSE.. SOME ATTORNEYS ARE RIGHT, AND SOME ARE SEVERELY WRONG... HATE TO SAY IT MR. OLIVO.... YOU WERE WRONG, YOU LISTENED TO PARTS OF WHAT HAPPENED THAT NIGHT.. YOU DIDN'T EVEN REALLY LET ME SPEAK.. I read the OATHS THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE SWORN INTO... YOU SHOULD REREAD THEM.. QUITE A FEW WERE BROKEN... I WILL NEVER BOTHER WITH THIS LAW FIRM AGAIN.. AND IT WAS A PHONE CALL CONSULTATION.. It was ABOUT 15 TO 20 MINUTES.. NEVER HAVE I MET A LAWYER WHO HAS NO HEART AND SOUL TO CARE FOR SOMEONE.. AND HAS SUCH AN ATTITUDE. IF I COULD... NO STARS AT ALL. STAY AWAY... HE IS HORRIBLE AT HIS JOB.

The lead attorney for the case, Ryan Doyle, executed a flawless representation, resulting in the dropping of all charges. It was clear to me that the firm works as a team, not as individuals. At the time of the initial consultation, the firm detailed their defense strategy, with the goal being to have all charges dropped versus a plea agreement. The other firm I interviewed viewed a plea agreement as the best case scenario. If you want the best representation available, they are the only choice.

I was referred them through the "good ole boys" (the whos-who) in my community. The worst law firm of all time
In my experience with Wilbur Smith and it was not my first choice it was base on word to mouth I found him to be unpleasant on the phone he will only be nice to before you pay him, whatever you do on his rate do not pay him a flat rate because once he got your money you will not be able to get a hold of him he will not take your call and his office staff are as bad. Take hourly rate if by unknown reason you deiced too hire this idiot because you will fire him when get to know him and he will ask for more money on flat rate anyway.
I’m writing this review because if someone will do that for me when I was looking to hire an attorney I will never waist my money on him , I look at his website for info, I like what I have seen 40 years experience all those title that mean nothing:
He served his first eight years as a Councilman of the City of Fort Myers (1980 to 1988), and then as Mayor of the City of Fort Myers.
To my surprise he was clueless in the court system (maybe because he spend his time outside of the court house) and the procedure, he also take the worst deposition maybe he is too old he kept forgotten things all the time the first thing he did is to committed obstruction of justice and then we work against us in every way- move bail hearing ask for Continuance when we told him not to do it, he did everything he can to keep my friend in jail sound unbelievable it’s crazy but it’s true.
When we approach will smith to replace the public defender we had a negotiable plea deal on the table and the charge from the state and when we where done we had non negotiable deal and more charges against my friend sound crazy isn’t it.
I found this law firm and Wilbur smith to be very unprofessional, no work attic, no rules of conduct, over billing, no customer’s service and he is a RACIST.
In one of the deposition he called himself a “redneck from the south” Do you really want a racist by your side when you going to court??????????

One employee was very rude to me over the phone. I have debt to take care of but that does NOT mean that they are allowed to rudely hang up on the person they are calling while in the middle of saying something. NO STARS. Poor business representation.

Joe and Mr. Smith the best. I hired and fired 5 others before I hired them. They are not only super competent they are HONEST !! You can trust them. Actually fees reasonable given the job they do. We love them and their staff.
