We had a difficult case. our age difference was great. She entered on a student visa and then did not attend college due to the agency who set up the visa demanding extra funds to proceed.
I feel that I can evaluate attorneys due to my working in the legal field for over 40 years. First she wanted a Chinese attorney and found one who was highly rated but when she read the Chinese reviews she found that most said the attorney did nothing but take money.
So looked at about 20 Immigration attorneys in palm beach county. Picked what we felt were the two best and set up interviews. the first charged for the interview but was a UF graduate and really knew her stuff. we walked out with our minds made up but decided to also meet with William anyway. He is FSU. I'm a big gator fan. the interview went very well. William just gives off the aura that he will work very hard, get the job done and knows what he is doing. Felt very comfortable with William.
We still wanted the first attorney. Went home and something happened . We both wanted to review our notes taken during both interviews.
William really cared about us and our case. Adding up all the pluses and minuses we changed our minds and went with William. he has a great staff. the receptionist is top notch. She follows up on every call and every question. Met with our paralegal and she knows what she is doing . helped us get all our paper work ready then an extra meeting to review everything. William gave us guidelines on what to do and the proof we needed. He guided us through the process. I learned how to use email for questions which he responds very quickly. A key part of William is he is so calm and it is contagious .
We had meeting to go over application. We had a meeting pre interview. we had a meeting when we had questions. The interview went great was nervous. Interviewer said she had to review everything. Two months later my wife got her temporary green card. Thank you William and your great staff. Would highly recommend you to anyone needing an immigration attorney.
An update on removal of restrictions. Last February we filed for removal of restrictions. Again with Attorney Cavanaugh we followed his advice on documenting all that we did together and photos of all our travels. Shared car ownership, Car insurance, bank account, medical insurance and much more. with the help of his staff, Rossana the main force, and all the evidence that we had we just received approval of the lifting of restrictions and her permanent green card. It took only a year You want GREAT legal service and a staff who cares go to the Cavanaugh law group. By the way I had a 47 year age difference and it was a tuff case Here we are again thanking William Cavanaugh and the staff of his outstanding law firm. On Tuesday December 17 my wonderful wife had her interview for United States Citizenship. as at every stage of a five year process William was with us. We had a pre interview meeting the day prior and then met at Immigration. Later that night Jing received notice that she would be receiving notice to take the oath for U S citizenship. I would highly recommend William and his staff to any person who needs a calm ,trustworthy , highly professional immigration attorney. His manner of really caring for the people who come to him for help makes a William not only an excellent attorney but also a really good person

Just an awesome attorney and firm .

I cannot say enough good things about this company. Mine was not a straightforward case but they all worked super hard on it. I am a UK citizen deemed permanently inadmissible to the USA for 1) Getting in trouble many years ago in the UK and 2) Misrepresentation for not telling immigration about my criminal record on any of my 30+ trips to the USA since, using the visa waiver program. I managed to get a temporary waiver of inadmissibility to come here and work then I met a great lady here and we got married. I was not even going to bother applying for permanent residency as I was told that permanent waivers of inadmissibility are super hard to get.

Then I contacted William Cavanaugh and met with him. He expressed confidence in my case so we started the application for permanent residency. Another attorney in his office Devika Moonasar also helped preparing my large submission files plus interviewing myself and my wife and gathering all the proof of genuine marriage etc as well as putting an extensive application package together.

Once it was submitted, we played the usual waiting game with USCIS and their large backlog of cases. After about 10 months we received a notice of interview. We met with the attorneys again to go through interview preparation.

On the day of the interview we were met at the immigration office by William Cavanaugh at 7.30am in the morning. He had two large binders jam packed with documents. Extremely well prepared to say the least.

The interview went ahead and was nerve racking but was great to have William there fighting our corner. A couple of times he interjected pointing out reasons along with case law as to why immigration should look favorably on our case.

After the interview we expected to be waiting many weeks for a response. We were surprised to get an answer in 48 hours. The application had been approved. I had gone from being permanently inadmissible to the USA to a permanent resident all thanks to the hard work of William Cavanaugh and Devika Moonasar.

I highly recommend this company to anyone seeking immigration or visa related assistance. I spoke with many companies before selecting William Cavanaugh. He was not the cheapest, although his prices were at the lower end of some of my quotes. But he was the one that took the most time to answer my questions and I felt answered them honestly. Some of the cheaper attorneys seemed less interested in the details of my case and more interested to know when I would be paying them their retainer fee.

I personally feel that my case was borderline and that a lesser skilled attorney with less preparation and experience may well have ended up with a denial of my application.

Hiring an attorney to help with immigration matters is probably one of the most important decisions you will ever make. Choose the wrong one and it could end very badly. Do like I did, call a few, speak to them about your case and then choose wisely and hopefully choose William Cavanaugh. It was one of the best decisions I had ever made and I have a Green Card that proves it was the right decision in my case.
