Attorney Larry Heinkel was referred to us by our CPA for a lingering tax issue. My mom (retired) received a letter from the IRS in June 2017 regarding her tax return from 2015 (when she completed her tax return via TurboTax). In the letter, the IRS was going to assess an exorbitant amount of tax to her IRA account (essentially draining close to 40% of her retirement plan). My mom was in tears. We eventually investigated the issue with our CPA and despite providing the documents requested by the IRS over an 18-month correspondence period (that the change in her IRA account in 2015 was a "rollover", not a "transfer"), my mom still got a letter from the IRS dated November 26, 2018, on the tax assessment. From the moment we reached out to Larry (on December 27, 2018), we immediate received a return phone call from him (despite being the Holidays) and very timely follow-up email correspondence to our inquiries. I honestly believe I would have been ground to powder. I needed mature Counsel to weigh my options, and Larry wisely provided an option I thought could never happen. In the end yes I had to pay. But the value of being stress free and having a clear conscience is better than trying to run out the Statute of Limitations clock. The stress was never worth it at any point. I am so thankful God lead me to find Larry Heinkel. My husband committed tax evasión, tax fraud, embezzlement, conversion of funds, and all sorts of illegal activities while we were married. I have no training, education, or degrees in the field of finance, taxes, or legal stuff. My husband was the one who took care of all that stuff while we were married. My husband got caught and I ended up finding out about all the illegal stuff he had been doing. Because he lost his job, I was the only income for our family. I tried several tax attorneys in Washington DC to help me with the tax problems that my husband had dumped on me. ( by this time we were separated and going through a divorce.the divorce was due to more than just this issue stated here) . Larry won my case in 3 months. I have no bad marks on my name from the fraud being removed either. I am so grateful to God for leading me to a man who actually could help me and do it in such a timely manner. This allowed me to be able to get closure and start a new life where I had a chance to live again. There is no way I could have been able to pay back what my ex husband did. Mr Henkel gave me advice Sept 2018, when I received a notice from the IRS. I sent copies to him, hand delivered every thing he wanted, followed his advice, and waited. They will send you a schedule, after they get the documentation. I waited, anxiously, until last weekend I received a demand for payment from IRS!
