I’ve never been treated so poorly as a customer in my life. Steve Powell wasted three months of my time when I really needed help. I went to him for some 2017 tax help, had a consultation, he gave me the sob story about him and his son running a family business and handed him $1000. He was supposed to do my 2018 taxes as well. We signed a contract and moved forward.

I gave him all the documents he needed. For three months I didn’t hear from him. I sent an email every month asking for an update.

Not a phone call, not an email, nothing. On March 6th, after begging for an update, he called with some BS about having some documents for me to see. I called him a month later from that day after not seeing any documents and he was completely clueless as who I was or what I wanted. He cowardly left me a refund for what I had paid and never had the balls to address the issue or give me an apology for wasting three months of my life when I needed help. Do your research when looking for someone to help you with delicate issues like taxes. Google searches will lead you to people like Steve Powell. Huge lesson learned for me.

Steve and his staff are patient, professional and a pleasure to work with. The IRS said we owed 170,000 so we called Steve and after a 3 year audit we paid less than 30,000 which included all penalties and interest.
