Paid the 25 dollars for the 30 minute phone Consultation, we never received the phone call. We were reffered by the Florida Bar. I received a phone call to verify my phone number and time of my appointment yesterday. They stated they would call me today at 11:00am. I waited for the call and no one called. When I called to find out why no one called me the receptionist told me she could get an attorney on the phone right away . she then came back on the phone to tell me they couldn't meet with me. I asked for my money back at this time, she said no refunds. I told her it was not my fault her company didn't call me at the scheduled time. So she then told me they would refund my money. A minute later I received a text about my experience with this law firm, I gave my honest opinion. I received a phone call from the receptionist telling me to do away with my review because they didn't have my correct number. I told her that information was not correct I told her I was called the day before to verify my information and she hung the phone up on me. I will NEVER use this law office for anything. Im very happy I found out about them before paying thousands of dollars for horrible service. I will be placing a complaint with the Florida bar.

The office was quaint and easy to find, and both Mr. Massey and the gentleman at the front desk were timely and professional. They walked me through the paperwork, and Mr. Massey listened carefully to my small claims case. He wrote down some resources for me so I could find everything I would need to build my case, and even took the extra step of formatting a Final Judgment for the judge and a Fact Information Sheet for the defendant so that I would have everything ready to be filled out the day of the trial with the appropriate language for it to be airtight.

Although he didn't represent me, I felt much more confident after our meeting and was able to prepare all of my documents thanks to his recommendations.

This lawyer Mr Massey is rude, arrogant and disrespectful. Went to his office for counsel and he was condescending to my Deaf husband! He is a horrible representation of the law and should be ashamed of himself even being a lawyer. Especially for any discrimination case since he himself discriminates against minority’s. Treated my husband like trash. Any good reviews he has, he must be submitting himself. Also his appearance his is very unprofessional and disheveled.

Very unprofessional! Tried to tell me I didn't have an appointment when I set it up the week before. Wouldn't allow my husband to sit in with me on the consultation even though I informed them I was not comfortable being alone with a man I do not know. Left before even a consultation. The man at the desk made us feel like a bother. I would never recommend these people to anyone. Very shady group.

*Edit: I was able to have a joint meeting elsewhere without any issue. Even if you had a problem with meeting with us together it is no excuse for the rude way the employee acted. You do not treat any customer/potential customer like they are nothing.

Very unprofessional attorney! A consultation was set up, so we drove 75 one way to meet with this man concerning an issue in which my fiance was terminated from her full time job for being placed off of work for 8 days by her family doctor. We had already done some leg work, and were told by several State of Florida labor depts. that this move on behalf of the employer was indeed "Unlawful Termination". This attorney refused to look at the detailed documentation that had been prepared by our family doctor, instead he made crude statements to my fiance, and in now way discussed the details of her case. He onlh wanted to make unprofessional, unethical, vulgar statement towards my fiance, while all along telling her she didnt have a case. I have personally studied Florida Statutes enough on my own to determine that we no only had an Unlawful Termination case, but documented Retaliation issues by the employer leading up to the terminatn itself! This would have actually turned into a larger, more substantial case. This all happened around 1:30PM on Sept 27, 2017.. and although it was the middle of the day...the office was very dark, quiet, and in the 15 minutes period in which we were there...the phone did not ring one time! The attorneys hair and overall apperance seemed very unkept, almost to the point that we questioned ourselves as to whether or not the attorney, Mr. Massey, was intoxicated or not. I would highly recommend staying as far away from this "law professional" as possible. The appearence of the inside of the office alone is enough to make anyone with basic commonsense take a second look at who they would be considering to have represent them in the public eye, and the added outright disrespectful attitude toward a potential female client is absolutley absurd! Mr. Massey refused to allow myself into the 3 minute conaultation whatsoever! We have since decided to report this attorneys behaviour to the State of Florda. We feel its best to allow this mans peers to pass judgement on his choice of actions against a female seeking his help....all whole refusing to allow another male, being myself into the room! BEWARE! I am not sure which attorney I spoke with so I will not give a name but the person I was able to have a consultation with was externally rude. I was sitting across from him and he wouldn't even give me eye contact. He was very insulting by suggesting I couldn't afford his services, and choose to fiddle with things on his desk on of which was a IPad that was never used but served as his attention point during my visit. I wouldn't recommend them based on my experience but each his own. Every word out of his mouth ened with asking me legal questions such as do I feel I have a case , what would do how would I handle it as if I was the attorney and he was the client. Total easy wast of my time and gas going to see him. I just feel when talking to a customer and potential client attention and respect is due he gave neither wasn't even dressed semi professional I simply got up and walked out. I was prepaired to finance my case but i wouldn't give him my money if it was a from a never ending tree.

Thanks for representing me against Honda Care! They tried to bully me into thinking I couldn't read an extended warranty contract and tried to give me the roundabout on why they weren't liable. After Michael took over my case, Honda Care quickly resolved my claim and promptly decided to honor their contract.

One star is too many. I met with Mr. Massey for a consultation and he didn't even exhibit common courtesy by standing up to greet me, just sat there like he was holding court. My issue was with a car dealership that had charged me $600. for repairs and when I returned the car two weeks later, they fixed it that time by inserting paper in the part which obviously would not last. His only question, which he asked several times, was if it was working. The part was working but it had not been repaired by using a new or even a used part, simply jimmied it with paper. After asking the same question a couple of times it became apparent that I was simply wasting his time so I left and told him to enjoy my $25. I am now calling the Florida Bar to obtain a referral to an attorney that hopefully understands courtesy and will support the consumer.

If I could give Massey a negative star, I would. He didn't smile, he didn't say hello and he looked at my right shoulder when we talked. I could ignore that he looked hung over and like he'd been at a rave all night, and I could ignore the very bad manners, but what was the point of his consult, when his response was had nothing to do with why I was consulting?

I wanted to know if my employers responses to me are considered retaliation and if I get walked out of my work for calling the regulatory board will Massey represent me. He never even inquired as to what they were doing, nor did we broach the idea of me hiring him in the future. His only response was "I don't know if they're violating the regulations." No kidding. I don't need him to know that because I know that they are, as does the regulatory board. I needed him to interpret their current responses and to represent me in a case of retaliation against a relator. I'm not even sure if he understood why I was there.

Massey is arrogant and clearly not interested in keeping connections in this community. I would highly recommend avoiding this guy.

I retained Michael Massey as my attorney for an accident in which a drunk driver hit my car head-on on a two lane highway. My car was destroyed and I suffered injuries. Mr. Massey showed a personal touch toward me and my family. In addition, he handled my case flawlessly. He was able to secure full payment for hospital, doctor and ambulance bills, reimbursement for my totaled car, obtain additional monies toward a new car and negotiate a settlement of $140,000 for me without going to court. First let me say that I was completely satisfied with picking Mr Massey as my Attorney. I know there are a lot of Attorneys out there to choose from, and like all things, some Attorneys are better than others. I was wrongfully terminated from my job so I went looking for a lawyer to represent me. I had told myself that I was going to talk with at least 3 different Attorneys, maybe more. Just like hiring a Contractor, you want to get at least 3 estimates, so I felt I needed to talk to at least 3 Attorneys to find the right one. I had an idea of the type of Lawyer I was looking for, and when I started talking to Michael during the free consultation, he began fitting that description more and more.

The one thing that really nailed it for me was, of all things, his honesty. After explaining what had happened to me, Michael agreed that I did have a case against my former employer. But what shocked me the most was when he told me that if this did go to trial, there was a chance that I could lose and gain nothing. He explained the risk involved and was brutally honest about it. I expected a lawyer to pull my leg a little, you know, something like 'yeah you have a great case' or 'I don't see how we can lose' or 'you're gonna be rich when we get done with them'. Something like that, anything like that, but instead he told me the opposite. He told me the truth, that if it comes down to a jury trial, I might not win because you never know whats going to happen.

I knew right then that I had found the right Lawyer to represent me. I never went and talked to another Lawyer even though I had swore to myself that I was going to visit at least 3 attorneys and was definitely not going to pick the first Lawyer I talked too. But that was not the case. I signed with Massey & Duffy on the spot and was completely satisfied with the entire process. He kept me very well informed about what was going on, what everything meant, and when I had questions he was able to answer them in a way I could clearly understand. His office was very efficient, they would both call and email me about things happening in my case and remind me about upcoming dates. I never felt that anything was being overlooked or that they had forgot something.

We eventually did have to go to court and when we did, Michael was more than prepared. He knew my case inside and out and I could tell that he spent a lot of time and hard work preparing for trial. His closing argument was a thing of beauty. To be honest I felt that we had lost the case during the course of the trial. I had that sinking feeling in my stomach. But after he gave His closing argument I actually felt better, I still thought that we had lost, when the Jury went into deliberation, but I truly felt that Michael really put all of himself into my case and really fought for me and for justice.

That's the type of lawyer I was looking for from Day One, and that's the type of lawyer I got with Michael Massey. I couldn't ask for anything more, nor would I go back and change a thing!

Massey and Duffy handled my wrongful termination case. Mr. Massey was straight forward and honest with me through the whole process. We communicated primarily through email however he was always available by phone if I ever had a question. My case was settled in about a year and a half which I understand is pretty quick for cases of that nature. I would recommend Massey and Duffy to anyone looking for an attorney to handle wrongful termination matters.

I tried calling to ask a simple question. I was told to come in and sit down and I said that I had the information right here. The next thing I know he hung up on me. I called back hoping my phone disconnected and the receptionist then hung up on me. Keep in mind I was very polite, had a simple question and did nothing to deserve this type of completely unprofessional attitude. I called back a third time and was finally told by the receptionist that Mike Massey (YES Mr. Massey who originally hung up on me) that he could not help me. This is so sad to me, that he is acting exactly like the typical money hungry lawyer. Why couldn't he say that he wouldn't be able to help me unless I came in? Why did he ask me first how much money was involved, then after he realized it was allot, he wanted me to come in. So freaking typical. Trust me when I say this, he treated me like scum and he didn't even know me. He completely hung up on me and anyone who is hung up on (I'm serious guys, there wasn't any reason, I didn't do anything) knows how bad that feels, and it feels worse when there was no reason at all for it other then he felt like it. Great Advice: Mr. Massey had hired my firm several years ago for Environmental Services during the purchase and renovation of his business office and we always try to refer business back to those who work with us. We had a client who was extremely past due for services rendered and Mr. Massey discussed the concept of Unjust Enrichment with me. It turned out to be exactly what had occured and gave us the legal backing to obtain our payment.
