I had been in a car accident back in August of 2016. I was hit by a young driver from another country that truly did not understand green does not mean you can turn left into oncoming traffic without looking/yielding to vertical traffic. I was hit on the side of my car and initially thought after a few days of soreness I could tough it out and go about my life. I didn't think I had time to deal with what I thought would be a complicated legal process. After months of increased after effects and issues,-I finally listened to someones recommendation to consult with Marie Banks.

I was blown away at how smooth everything went from day one. My options were explained to me. I had the option to do everything on my own,-but I knew it was well worth having someone with connections and very experienced in handling situations like mine. I would have likely just cost myself more headaches,-to end the end do my self a disservice.

I quickly agreed to Marie Banks proposed terms of service. I expected to not hear anything after that for some time. I was pleasantly surprised however to have thorough guidance almost immediately. Her assistant Teresa Willard I would compare to the most important assistant coach on a coaching staff. Think Kirby Smart, Dan Mullen once upon a time, Jimbo Fisher, etc. She really kept things on track.

I would say the story ends well. I was able to benefit from deferred treatment I should have started on long ago, make connections with a great chiropractor (Dr. Paul Gardner) and ended up with a realistic settlement with the insurance company I am pleased with. I consider myself to be around 90% back to my health prior to the car accident. I had assistance from the Orthopedic Institute with my shoulder rehab,-which has been continued by a great personal trainer (Heather Miller with Zen Fitness) that has improved my shoulders range of motion/-started to get some of the strength back.

Brian Schackow and his assistant, Lalani Scoggins, saved us after a motorhome totalled our truck and almost totaled us. I was in a wheelchair visiting my wife in ICU when the insurance adjuster called and said they totalled the truck & quoted a value $4000 less than it was worth. I called Schackow & Mercadante and called that big firm in all the ads. The big firm called me back, obviously a data gatherer filling in a form. I told him that I wanted to speak to an attorney. In contrast, Brian personally called me and met me at the hospital the next day. Two days after we retained him, an attorney from the big firm called me from Atlanta..., we're in Florida!
Brian found money that we never would have known about so that we were reimbursed for our suffering and months that we were unable to function. I have unfortunately had a few accidents and was lucky enough to have their great service. One was a car accident case being rear ended while stopped. I used a horrible chiro (instead of the one they recommended) who had been charging me interest on my unpaid bills, even though it was filled as a personal injury case and they knew they would get paid at the end of the case with the PIP money. My paralegal fought to get those unethical fees waived and lowered as much of the costs as possible. My other case was leaving UF and got hit walking on the cross walk with the right of way by someone making a right hand turn. I was lucky enough to only suffer a broken ankle. I had the same paralegal and she settled the case and had the pay out in only a couple of months with the max amount. This is a great firm with the friendliest office staff around! I highly recommend them (in any bad situation)!
