I only had limited budget, so I called Ms. Jones's office. Quoted me about the same fee with those experienced attorneys. And I am glad, I didnot use her service, heard her speak in the courtroom, her voice sounded lack of confidence and uncertain.
No, thank you!

update:
Did not expect the attorney will remember me . We were on the phone for a very short period of time after I told her I had limited budget. And Ms. Jones just confirmed she did not have any memory about talking to me, which is fine.

But ever since I rated 1 star, which lowered her ranking from 5 to 4.3. Amazingly there were more than twice the number "5 stars" reviews as before my comment, showed up immediately at the same time after Ms. Jones noticed my review. Hmm...

So it may be a little weird for me to review my mom but she’s my lawyer too. Sherry gives the best legal advice for all your needs. She’s even helped out many of my friends.

A family member was unjustly accused of assault. I knew Sherry socially, and found her caring and passionate about the law. I called her in tears, and she was comforting and said "let me do my job". My family member met with her and thought the same as me, so he hired her. After she interviewed the accuser and caught him in a number of lies and inconsistencies, the prosecutor offered a lessor charge. My family member chose to go to trial and Sherry was all in. Shortly afterward, CHARGES DROPPED. I couldn't recommend her more.

When I approached Sherry's law firm with a case that they had no expertise with, they referred me to another reputable company.
They also attend in Spanish and Portuguese what's a blessing to the Latino community as most of us would struggle to understand legal terms in English.

I have worked with dozens of attorneys throughout the years in Florida, and Sherry stands out as one of the best. She has a genuine passion and dedication for her clients, and combines that with an astute knowledge of the law and commanding courtroom presence.

I had never been in trouble before...and I'm in my 50's. Back in June I was pulled over by SRCS while driving home from meeting with friends. I was arrested for refusing a breath test. Why? Because while I was truthful and cooperative with the officer, he didn't afford me a field sobriety test. While I'd had two glasses of wine, over the course of 4-5 hours, I was by no means intoxicated. I even helped a friend at the location get home safely as she was very intoxicated, as she'd consumed a lot of drinks. I'm actually certain that the officer had witnessed all of this as I watched him follow me from the location for at least 3 miles.

The police report said I had swerved, and that was the officer's probable cause to pull me over, but he also fibbed and said I'd refused a field sobriety test, but that simply was not true. An FST was never offered. He then stated that after my arrest, that I had refused a breath test at the station, which again was another fib. While I'd refused the breath test, I did so at the scene, especially since things got very weird quickly. Given his zeal to prove that I had been drinking, information I had already disclosed, I simply stated that perhaps I should speak with a lawyer, and I was summarily arrested.

I knew I needed an attorney, and I wanted one with knowledge, grit and determination. I needed someone who believed in me.

I met with Sherry Ivey Jones, and told her my story. I felt silly, because in my mind, who would believe me? I asked a lot of questions about the consequences of the DUI charge, the reality of fighting it, and how this was likely going to destroy my career, and life as I knew it. After answering several of my questions, and likely seeing the distress I was in, she looked at me and said, "do you trust me?" I said, "yes". I'll never forget what she said next "Then please let me help you". So, I did. I thank the good Lord that I did. After months of getting the run-around from the SRCS office, and prosecutor as they took their sweet time providing discovery, that resulted in amended police report -juicing up the report to say I almost caused a collision (wow!), Sherry kept me focused on the end game. We prepared to go to trial, when the prosecutor finally (at the 11th hour) agreed to lesser charges of Reckless Driving. Which is what I was prepared to agree to from the get-go! I accepted this plea, only because it had been 5 months since the incident, and I personally didn't want to get into a "he said/she said" with a jury. I needed my reputation restored. I needed to move on with my life!

As someone who has supported the police all of my life, I suspected jurors would also find a zealous officer more believable, than a woman who was out at 11:30pm on a Friday night... even in the absence of evidence. Still, Sherry was willing to go to bat for me, even if we'd taken it to a Jury. She was absolutely 100% prepared for the fight. She was excited to do so! She worked her tail off to be my advocate. That said, the consequences for a DUI would have been career killing and more costly than one could imagine.

I'm not a hugely emotional person, but when it was over, I cried...and gave Sherry a hug! Obviously, this experience has taught me a lot about the laws, law enforcement, our rights, the assumption of guilt, and the cash game. Also, it has made me reflect on the wisdom of driving on a Friday night, even if it's just to the store...no alcohol involved.... Ugh! Not everyone has integrity...

If you need someone who has integrity, you should contact Sherry Ivey Jones. She knows her stuff, and will explain things to you in terms you can understand. She can help you navigate a serious charge. She's a fighter, and she knew that if I just trusted her, and remained patient, I would get the results I so desperately wanted and needed.

My advice to anyone in a similar situation - do not do this alone. Give Sherry a call. Don't throw your rights away!

Kelly
