My husband and I chose Higginbotham for a couple of reasons. One, he helped my mom when she needed to file Chapter 13 to save her home. That was about 15 years ago and she is still in her home today. The second thing was that they allowed you to make monthly payments via automated payments for a Chapter 7 filing. When I called, they were always very helpful. Trent, who was our attorney, always answered any questions we may have had. He was very straight forward and forth coming. I appreciate all they did to help us.

No one looks to file bankruptcy in their lifetime but some things are out of our control. I didn’t know where to start or what to do. I found Doug and his team by googling names of attorneys in Jacksonville and I came to see them. I was explained what to expect, how the process would go, and my responsibilities to this process. I have to say there were no surprises. I even experienced some personal hiccups along the way that jeopardized the outcome of my bankruptcy and Doug jumped in and helped me resolve it right away. The entire staff is kind, knowledgeable, and cares about those who seek their help. The icing on the cake is that the services are very affordable. You can’t go wrong with this team!!

It is very easy to become overwhelmed with debt. Mr. Higginbotham took the time to review all of our options regarding filing bankruptcy. He was always responsive to emails and his staff was very nice. We were not behind on our bills, we were living paycheck to paycheck. I highly recommend meeting with him to others contemplating debt resolution as an option, because that is what we did first. Unfortunately with debt resolution, you are forced to become late on your bills for their system to work and what they don't tell you is that they cannot always get a resolution.
