Shari Lee and Associates are absolutely awesome!! I was in a fight for my livelihood after my husband filed for divorce. I researched the top law firms in the surrounding area and Shari's law firm seemed to be a good fit for my legal needs.

I called the office to request an initial consultation and the receptionist was able to schedule an appointment for me within 48 hours. On the day of my appointment, I met with Chrissi Scobie; OMG WAS SHE NICE! I was scared, embarrassed, and mad as hell because of my situation and Chrissi exuded so much patience with me. She assured me that regardless of the outcome in the courtroom, I was still going to make it in life.

I had a few more meetings with Chrissi and then my appointment date arrived to meet with Shari. When she walked in the room, I can't lie, I was intimidated! Beware, don’t even look in this law office’s direction. Unprofessional,Absolutely horrible and dishonest employees . I obtained Shari Lee Smith and associates in March 2017. I needed to obtain some paperwork from her office. I contacted her office and advised them of what I needed. The paperwork that I needed was sent to me via email by one of her employees Chrissi Scobie and it turns out that , the paperwork that I needed was FRAUDULENT. Chrissi Scobie had typed up the form herself, submitted it to me as authentic, instead of going through the proper protocol. I submitted the paperwork to the party that needed the form and was later told that the form was fraudulent. If I could rate them it would be a negative 0. If you know me, you know that I’m a woman of high morals and values. I carry myself with dignity and respect. Shame on this law firm, if that’s what you want to call it.

Bankruptcy scared me so much and I looked at another attorney but liked your personal touch you provided to me. I felt very comfortable at your office. I chose you because I felt you saw me as a person too and not just a client;. You explained things way beyond what they offered and I didnt feel rushed to get it done right then. Not that I liked having to do this type of case but you did make it at least passable and made me not ashamed to do it and for that I thank you.

I never thought I would need an attorney but in life things happen sometimes out of your control as was in my case. My wife of many years moved on without telling me first and I found out the hard way and sought legal advice to protect myself and that is exactly what Ms Smith and her staff did. They did it in a relaxed yet very competent manner. That process helped me heal. Shari I just got my chapter 13 discharge and although it was bankruptcy it actually helped me so much after my divorce. I was starting out alone and behind on things and this case allowed me to keep my car and move on. The most disgusting office I have EVER been in. It smelled like a sewer and cat poop. There is a thick coat of dust and cat hair on everything. The very dirty looking assistant is taking calls in the waiting room and giving bad advice over the phone. The assistant is not an attorney and should not be giving any legal advice. He was telling a woman that the only reason her spouse who is in the military was asking for 51% custody which they agreed upon was so he could have the taxpayers pay his child support. There was no reason to assume that either of them were even seeking child support. Also a soldier who has less than 51% will have a hard time being allowed to live outside of the barracks and wouldn't be able to have visitation in the barracks. There are pules of paperwork all over the extremely dirty and unorganized building that I believe is actually where they live. There is a broken down car and an old moldy boat parked next to a raggedy trailer in the parking lot. I am glad that I decided to leave before I gave them a single penny. The assistant was actually arguing with me while he was on the phone with a customer as I was leaving. I would recommend that you stay away.

Walked into the place today with my fiance. After sitting in the waiting room for about 20 minutes the gentlemen from the back came out in a tshirt and house shorts. Right before he could get to us he took a call in the "lobby area"(a blessing). We were able to hear his conversation where a women was calling in with questions about a uncontested divorce. The man was giving her info about how she can't do uncontested divorce and giving the other spouse a shared custody won't work as the man was trying to get out of child support. DISGUSTING!!! Ofcourse without hesitation we immediately left but before my fiance says are you an attorney and he says no so my fiance says you can't give legal advice like that out.
Hey Shari how about advocating for equal shared parenting and not promoting women or men to go after more custody for reason of child support.

Kinda shade tree. It's like it's a house and a business at the same time. And they leave you to do the foot work it seems.

i used shari for an uncontested divorce
her staff is knowledgeable but did always seek the final say from shari as i certainly hoped for
I liked the fact i proofread the papers first and then with ms smith because i got 2 looks at these papers i will live with forever
the firm is very strict about potential conflicts with my spouse which i didnt think about until they explained that to me
another thing they were very clear on was that i only could do an uncontested divorce and that if he didnt sign the papers it wouldnt go anywhere
and in fact i did check again with him before i went further and i only had $200 at risk anyways as that is her inexpensive deposit which is not at all like other firms i called
i hope to never do this again but if i did shari is where i would go

because I got Ms Smith's name from the opposing party in a case she handled
he told me to get shari before your spouse does
apparently he got nailed by her in court when she represented his spouse against him

Terrible Law Firm. I wasnt advised thoroughly as I should have been. Shari is never around and her clerks are not knowledgeable. They have to ask questions about everything. I was extremely disappointed at the result. My first divorce paper was not proof read and I actually corrected this myself. I lost money in this situation and received no result. Try someone else. Maybe you can write a good review another law firm, for those who are seeking a good law firm.
