I received a letter from Social Security in June 2015 that they had found a document that was originally lost. And, I was illegible for refilling and hearing.
I called a family friend who's an attorney and asked if he could recommend a disability attorney and said Judith Leland in Whittier.
They set met up with a free consultation with Carla Green. She became prepared and was very sharp, professional and honest. She easily grasped my list of health issues. And, said shed definitely take my case!
We had our hearing finally in May 2019. She had an excellent repore with the assigned judge. There were literally 500 pages of documents. She flagged the highlights for the judge and firmly discussed my case. And WON for me!
I can't thank the entire office enough as I realize pulling all that together chronologically must have been time consuming. Vanessa answered all my questions swiftly.
Worth every cent for representation.
Hire them if you want an honest attorney who fights with professionalism and respect.
The problem is the category for ability to interact with people is where I got a 2 despite that being my worst impairment BY FAR. That is the one thing that has made my life a joke for over half of my life, and the lawyer barely even focused on that aspect. He kept going on about common depression symptoms, leading me to believe he barely even familiarized himself with my case.
If that was rated a 3 and the others weren't, I wouldn't have left this bad review, but since the impairment that was beyond obviously the worst was rated as moderate, that is just unbelievable. Me and my mom lost our house and now contemplate suicide every day. It's not an exaggeration to say they helped destroy my already pitiful life.
Edit: I forgot to mention, when my initial hearing appeal was denied I just got a letter saying they were dropping me with no warning. They never said they didn't deal with cases on the final appeal until I was at that stage and desperate. Truly cold hearted.
They are very professional, detail-oriented and knowledgeable about the social security system---which helped me win my case.
First, I met one of their attorneys and we went over my case and documents. After reviewing my case---and knowing I have a chance to win my case---they decided to represent me in my case.
It took almost 2 years before we reached the hearing stage before an SSA judge and we won my case and got my application approved.
Yes, I highly recommend Atty. Judith Leland.
