I consulted with Mr. Shehata early this month at Family Law Matters. I was very impressed by the office's presentation and set up. They were kind and welcomed me. When I met with Mr. Shehata, he was very honest and upfront about my situation. He advised me not to file until I was certain that I was ready to divorce my wife, which I am not. I did not like what he had told me, because I wanted to divorce my wife. Needless to say, I am still married and my wife and I are attending marriage counseling. I am now convinced that I am not ready for a divorce. I am leaving this feedback, because he was the only one to tell me not to lose faith. This was abnormal considering that everyone else I consulted with was ready to sign me up. My wife and I are now working things out and I believe we can salvage our marriage. I cannot express my gratitude enough for consulting with Mr. Shehata. I went in for a consult because my ex has been threatening to take my boy away from me if I did not give her money and I was scared she actually would. Everyone I spoke to said that the law favored women. At my consult, "B" listened to my concerns, walked me through my options, and helped me understand what my rights were. He even recommended that I not hire an attorney yet. My two other consults wanted me to pay a retainer and file with the court but B said not yet. My ex is a drug addict who was not seen our child since she dropped him off at my house 3 years ago. He said, "why make it easy for her?" He was right. She has not made any contact in 3 weeks after her flood of texts and calls. I guess she moved on. This is why I am posting this review. Thank you for your help. If anything happens, I will be back for sure.

Do not put your money or trust in this firm. After several months, a paralegal who refuses to return phone calls and musical attorneys , I have submitted my case to the Cal Bar Association. A 23 year marriage and I am a disabled veteran and Gina and her team insisted I pay 5500 dollars and have done absolutely nothing. Not only is this firm incompetent, this woman should not be practicing law. She very clearly colluded with my spouses attorney and in this community property state claims I have no rights to my family home and has with my husband's attorney stalled causing me additional expense. If you think about hiring this firm you may.as well just take five grand and flush it down the toilet.

I consulted with attorney Shehata and I am thankful I found his office. I walked in terrified because my baby-daddy is being released from jail in a couple of months and has been threatening to take my child if I do not get back with him. After my consult with B, I felt the weight taken off of my shoulders. He comforted me and advised me to not let him control me. He also talked me out of filing first because I would be giving him rights that he does not even have because he is not on the birth certificate. Now I know he will not take me to court because he knows he has a long history of abuse and drugs. I am glad I found this office. There is a reason why their reputation is so amazing. If things take a turn for the worst, I will for sure come back to him. I know he will take care of me. Thank you!!!!

I consulted with this firm 5 months ago and hired them on the spot because I needed help and they were ready to help. I can say honestly that my experience with this firm was wonderful. I was kept informed of my appointments and hearings. My attorney met with me before the hearing and called me after the hearing to confirm that I understood what happened at the hearing. They are big on educating their clients which is great because this legal system is complicated. I tried self help and I regret doing so. They made it simple. I have recommended other members and have since referred people to this office because I know they took good care of me and my kids.

Absolute the worst choice you could make in selecting an attorney.
The attorney will NEVER return your phone calls, maybe the receptionist will get back to you in a day or two, probably not.
The goal seems to be to collect as much of your money as possible, while putting out the least amount of effort.

Called the office to discuss my move away case, was told to come in and speak to the attorney in person about this sensitive case. She advised me to come in today, I walked in and I waited 15 mins before saying anything to me for them to come out and tell me that I do not have a appointment.
She advised me to come back at 2pm. When I made the appointment I advised that my children get out of school and I needed a 11am.
Very disappointed and would never trust a attorney that. Any even make correct appointments.

I hired Bill Fitch from this place to represent me against my ex wife when she tried to take me back to court after my divorce was final. Bill was confident that he could stop her from opening up the whole case again. We just went to court and he kicked booty! Thank you! The case is over with and the judge ruled she cannot drag me back to court again.

If you want a divorce attorney that will change you a small amount up front and then do absolutely as little as possible for your case this is the place for you. Maybe if you have a very uncomplicated divorce where both parties agreed this might work. But if you need an attorney that is even slightly competent please look elsewhere!!!

Incompetence from the top down. I signed a contract for child custody agreement and child support modification. I needed a letter from the family court judge and asked the lawyer's office to attain one for me 5 times over the course of 4-5 months. A letter stating that my CS arrears is $0 so I can get a loan to pay debts and their office but they repeatedly ignored it. They kept my money and I still haven't received my detailed invoice of "work performed" although they didn't render the services stated in the contract. Don't hire these crooks pretending to be "good Christians".
