Great Attorney

My husband and I were in a life altering accident in 2013. We initially were working with an independent firm, and then he joined forces with Wattel and York. The improvement in the services we received, the professionalism, and ultimately the result of our case, changed our lives for the better, and I cannot express how much we appreciate all they did for our family. I have since recommended Wattel and York to other people who are in need. I hope to never need them again, but if we did, we wouldn't hesitate to call them

Nice people,quick response for emails and calls,BUT....they didn’t fight enough for my case.
They should have told me that my case is not worth it to work with lawyers .
They should have told me that it’s better for me to work directly with the auto insurance .
With other words, they took more money than me!!!! Think twice before going to a lawyer to help you with your car accident.
They will tell you that lawyers will work for you, and your case is worth it, but in reality you can do it by yourself, dealing with the auto insurance and med bills.
I do not recommend working with them, unless you have a really serious situation.

This law firm was decent for initial demand letters with Mr. Wattel, however once it went to litigation with Mr. Torba and his paralegal it went from okay to terrible. He obviously was not comfortable going to trial so we opted for arbitration and he couldn't argue his way out of a paper bag. Funny enough defense counsel was stating untrue "facts" stating that they had not recommended surgery for me, something that Mr. Torba did not argue, but it was in my medical file that surgery WAS recommended but due to other health issues I was not a candidate. Funny how at my SSDI hearing a week later THAT attorney knew exactly what page in my file and what doctor had recommended surgery when the ALJ asked him. The paralegal was condescending, the attorney was worthless, and where I hae permanent injuries I received enough money to cover the medical bills that had been incurred and absolutely nothing for the future. Please, save yourself a headache and a loss and choose another firm for your personal injury needs.

What an outstanding group of people. I was referred to Wattel & York from another firm and wasn't sure of what to expect. Brian Torba and went to work just as he said he would in my consultation and got the results that he said he would. I would certainly recommend using the services of Wattel & York if you fall into any of the services categories you will not be disappointed. Wow, where do I even begin. This was unfortunately an unfavorable experience for me from the very beginning. I had just gotten to Arizona to pursue a new job opportunity in my brand new car and had all of my belongings in this car with me. Out of nowhere, a distraught woman on the way to the hospital ran a red light and t-boned my drivers side. This left me breathless, on the side of the road, alone, with all of my stuff, in a blink of an eye. I think I felt my whole world crash down. This was by far one of the most difficult and challenging experiences that I've ever been faced with. And it was completely out of my control. Because I still owed so much on the totaled car, the $5000 I had put down to attain my car and the year I had spent paying on it was just viewed as a wash. Luckily, I had GAP insurance so what the other person's insurance didn't cover, mine stepped in and did. With that being said, I was told there were not any funds available to place me into a new vehicle. While dealing with all of this mentally exhausting daily challenge, I lost sight of myself and literal ability to do the things I loved due to physical consequences I also faced from the accident. I was completely broken and feeling incredibly defeated. My first paralegal was helpful, but impatient. That's when I got placed with ALY SHOMAR-ESPARAZA. She was my angel in a very dark situation and I am so incredibly grateful for her resilience and persistence with my case. She spent countless hours making things as understandable and convenient for me as they could be. Her patience was admirable. Her knowledge and willingness to help with any challenge that occurred was praiseworthy. If I could give you any advice it would be to work directly with Aly. You work directly with the paralegals and they can really make or break your case. Aly is an extraordinary human being who never allows you to feel as though you are an annoyance and genuinely understands what you are going through and expresses a willingness to help. Wattel and York represented me in a ‘loss of value’ claim resulting from our car being struck, while it was stationary in a parking lot. Although we live 1,300 miles from where the accident took place Wattel and York took our case because the accident occurred in Arizona. Lisa Lemarbre was the legal assistant we dealt with on a regular basis. She was always professional, had answers for our questions and was very good about keeping us informed about the process and how things were progressing. We received a very fair settlement. Sad but true. Poor experience with this company. Wattels attorneys puts a good show on the phone. When I saw who was representing me at a depo hearing. The attorney was to dumb to listen to what the other attorney said. Then on top these price scammer. My attorney asked for 4 million dollars. So what did the other side do. They barked back. And Im stuck because your attorney couldnt handle pressure. So they dismissed counsel. What you get with a back yard attorney. A little dog on a chain.

Rear-end collision. Back pain. Lost wages. Totaled car. Depleted savings. Referred to Wattel by a friend, but got Brian Torba. Nice guy. Talks supportive. Tells you what you want to hear. Word to the wise. READ THE PAPERWORK before you decide to use them. You cannot fire them if you get too far into it. The 1/3 that they get, they get it off the top before medical, you, or anyone else. It's there in the paperwork, but it's not made clear, so easily missed. Huge & painful lesson learned. Never again. I hope. So disappointed. Happy it's over with though.

got rear ened and needed to find a attorney. i found wattel and york and Brian Torba was going to represent me. i met Brian twice and each time i met him he told me what i wanted to hear and got me excited to get my settlement. he told me they take out 24% and will ask for $45,500. well that made me happy. well a week later he asked for my approval to ask for $25,000. wait a min i thought he was going to ask for $45k. he said 'there is NO way they are going to me pay you $45k.' and doesn't remember telling me that he was going to ask for $45k. he wanted to ask for $25k and they take out 40%! wait.. again he said they take out 24% and said i signed approving this. i dont remember because i signed all the documents THREE years ago and this was my first time suing someone... he tells me what i want to hear but then over the phone and email lies to me and tell me news i dont want to hear. i ended up getting $2000 and i was a seasonal wildland firefighter so my career is over due to back pain. this case took over THREE years. their staff is not on the ball. yeah they're nice but it takes them FOREVER and they lie to you. DO NOT GET THEM!! they charge TOO much and they tell you want you want to hear in person but end up telling other news over email and phone. find another attorney please.
