I was very nervous having to file bankruptcy and when I did Sandra Oswalt was the only law group I wanted to help me. The first call I made I spoke with Alisha who is their assistant. She answered all my questions and took her time with me never once did I feel rushed. I have had several attorneys in their law group calling me making sure all my needs were met. Wish there was a negative star, however I guess google wants to save this business their dignity. Went in for a free consultation for bankruptcy. Was advised that I did not meet chapter 7 guidelines, but met chapter 13. I agreed I would try that. They advised me what the fee would cost. I could not do that but they offered payments plans. So I signed up. I also signed up because they told me after I paid my legal fees they would work on my case to see exactly what I could file. They explained a number of times that they would not work on my case until the legal fee was paid in full. Well few days later I decided I was better off not doing this. I put in a cancellation request. Was contact and told they would end their agreement and that they already started working on my case and the down payment had been used. I’m like really? How exactly could they work on my case without knowing my full income, without collecting what my payments on items I want to keep. They had nothing about me put my ID and a paystub. I call this total BS! Then at the end he goes if you decide to go through with it, call us back and we will credit back your account what you paid. Hmmm thought you used it already? Lies lies lies. Typical lawyer, talk out of their arse!

What an truly unprofessional experience. I had to get upset just to get an price of how much it was to file. I sat in there office and filled out there paperwork. I drove 45 minutes in traffic to hear that they didn't want to tell me how much I needed to file!!! When I finally Threatened to leave they pretty much begged me to stay and thru out an number! What an epic fail! Do not go there and waste your time....

I called in yesterday, Yolanda answered and I was asking questions being in a rush due to being at work she proceeded to have an attitude, i then requested a supervisor. Angel had picked up a few moments later giggling and assumed she had me on mute and answered the phone with the same tone without even listening to what I was saying !!!!!! Oswalt law group is exceptional at what they do!! They allowed me to make monthly payments for bankruptcy. John D. Yobe helped me go over the paperwork and filed my case online. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, kind, and went out of his way to make sure all my questions were answered and that I understood the process!!!! He definitely deserves a pat on the back! They could be more helpful but their not the worst

Mrs. Oswalt is a nice lady, you will NOT meet her until your case is completed. During the time of your case, it will be handled by one of her paralegals, when I hired their firm my first paralegal was amazing. His name was Joseph Woods, he was in contact with me every week, getting set up with doctors and appointments, letting me know how the process worked, then I was switched to a different paralegal Rosie Discua, the new paralegal did not know anything about anything, not her fault, I think the firm should have trained her better to let her know what expectations should have been. At this time, I was NOT contacted for over a month, I HAD to contact the firm to find out what happened to my case?, I had to be my own advocate for MY OWN case, it was bad enough having to be my own advocate for my own doctors care, because being injured at work, workman's comp wanted to fight me on my own injury. Workman's comp wanted to downplay how bad I was injured then being switched over to a different paralegal who ignored me was bad. Rosie's supervisor is Maribel Buford. She is a very impersonal person. To her, you are a number on a file, when you call to get an update, you are bothering her from something else she's trying to do. And that attitude shows through on the phone.

My injury case took 11 months, in my opinion it was 5 months too long. I cannot help but wonder how another attorney could have handled this differently and more successfully. Since the firm is mostly a bankruptcy law firm, they deal with numbers on files and that's how they proceed with their cases. Now adding injury cases to the firm, you're still in number on a file, not a person. With my settlement I received 48% of the total collected. The firm paid my doctors, and took their 33 1/3 PLUS fees. I am NOT HAPPY with the service I received. Everything I have said is a fact, I have emails and voicemails to prove it. Here is the kicker of the whole thing if you are thinking about hiring this firm for an injury case. I was the INJURED CLIENT of their firm and not one time in the 11 months the firm had my case did my paralegal Rosie, or her supervisor Maribel, or Sandra Oswalt herself, NONE of them asked me How my injury was? None of them asked me "Hey how are you doing?" When I met with Sandra to collect my check the meeting was 10 minutes, she went through the pay sheet of who and what, then gave me my check. Never asked, "Hey how is your injury?" Consider this before hiring someone.

I have had nothing but a great experience when dealing with Ms. Oswalt or Janine her legal assistant. Janine has been always there for me and is always available to pick up the phone to call you back if she is busy or send out an email to you. Janine is always there to help put your mind at ease and takes the time to help you understand things as they arise. They very helpful and understanding. I have had nothing but a wonderful experience. I would not hesitate to use her firm again if needed or to recommend her services. Don't let a few bad reviews scare you off because I feel that they are not 100% correct on how Ms Oswalt conducts her firm. I wish I could of given them 10 stars because they deserve it. My girlfriend was in an accident while she was pregnant and we choose Oswalt Law Group to represent us. Even though the process was long and a little stressful at times they did get us the outcome we where looking for. I’ve had the worst experience with trying to get my finances together, i assumed filing bankruptcy would be bad but I decided to go through with it. Brian was amazing, after speaking to him he assured this was a better decision. Months later , I am beyond happy that this worked out for me for the better. In the end, they successfully completed my bankruptcy. However, through the process, I was not happy with the lack of guidance I received through that process. I guess I would like to have been "baby sat" a little bit more. Also, my bankruptcy was very simple and I question the amount of money I had to pay them. In hindsight, I think I would have used a smaller firm with the hope of less cost and closer guidance.

Make sure you are committed and know the ramifications of a Bankruptcy. When I found out that I wouldn't be able to move into another Apartment, I backed out and they took the 900 dollars and exhausted all but 200 on charges for emails and two calls from someone in accounting. I wanted to pay some creditors with the 900. So be sure you want to go through before you get started. 1700 for Bankruptcy but when I asked for my 900 back. They justified the use of the money on emails, so All I got back was 60. They said I was charged for case evaluation but with no docs to support the rationale.

They handled everything with dignity. They didn't judge us. When I had questions they didn't make me feel like a fool. Great place to go is of you have file for bankruptcy.

The law firm advertised $0 down and would workout a payment plan for representation. However, a friend of mine's cousin came in to the office for free consultation RE a legal issue she has based on the advertisement. However, she was advised the $0 down was only applicable in rare situations involving minor cases, such as shoplifting and DUI. The attorney emphasized MINOR. The Oswalt Law Group wanted to charge my friend's cousin $8,000.00 for a retainer just to start her case. This is a clear bate and switch situation. The advertising is deceptive and despicable, and in my opinion, this law firm should not be trusted by the public.

My fiance had this company they were no help to her at all took her 1000.00 and she receive a garnishment they could not stop it because she did not have her case number which would cost her another 300.00 and you have to do a class on line she was not a happy camper.So make sure you ask a lot if question she thought she ask every thing to help her

Last year when my dog Sparky and I were viciously attacked by a pitbull, Oswalt Law Group and the Associates assigned to my case went after the dog owners insurance company and through excellent negotiation skills, won me far more than what I was expecting. I simply called and they haldled everything. I strongly urge anyone injured by someone else's neglegence to call Oswalt Law Group right away.

I wrote a review previously and erased it because their manager asked me to. Well now I’m back to warn people how crooked these people are. They did not do a lick of work to fix our bankruptcy, pulled a credit check & collected 2,000$. Never reached out to finalize anything. I was the one that was constantly reaching out. They charge for EVERYTHING. If they email & it take 40 mins for them to write out an email, they charge you. If they CALL you back (which they rarely do) they charge you. If they leave a VOICEMAIL they charge you. Just to sit down with them was 475$. So when I got a refund, they took it upon themselves to keep 737.50 for doing NOTHING. For returning phone calls & leaving voicemails? Here’s the proof. Go with a law group that actually cares about you. Because I can tell you now, they only care about the money.

Upon meeting with an associate, I was at ease being excepted by Oswalt Law Group. We went over my financial situation and before I knew it they were working on my case. It really felt good being excepted for once and talked to with dignity.

Do not use this law firm. I went into a free consultation and met with Brian. He refused to give me a free consultation because I did not sign his paperwork. He told me that it was the law and I had to sign paperwork for him to give me a free consultation. I have met with several lawyers in the past week and no one has had me sign paperwork this is complete BS. In the paperwork it says that I give them permission to pull my credit report that they will charge me for it. When he try to sneak in a contract stating that is formed explained what a Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy was. Honestly I probably would've done business with them if it wasn't for this. I told him that I would not sign until I decided to do business with them. He told me OK that's fine have a good day and show me to the door.
This is not very professional and I would never do business with this company. Be careful when you decide to work with them and do a free consultation do not sign the paperwork it's a trap and they will charge you.

I HAVE HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE with Ms. Oswalt! I was really surprised that the owner of the firm met with me personally and assured me that my experience would be smooth. I feel the fee they charged was fair and although there was a lot of paper work I had to provide I was ok with it, I mean cmon I was getting rid of 42,500 in debt! I have read other reviews on here dont really agree with it, but thats just me....

Very unprofessional in my opinion. Was there with a friend needing help so I went with them. Sales/office Mgr was more like a used car salesman than someone trying to help. This is just my opinion tho. I would never let this firm represent me in any matter. Personally believe the negative reviews; exact replicas of my experience at this firm. If you want an honest caring firm I would recommend anyone else! I have never seen such a lack of professionalism. Call and set up an appt at you own risk. Think twice before you go see these people. If something happens like you get moved by your company and cant file, they suddenly keep $300 for admin cost and $90 per month that they have your file, even though they did NOTHING on my case, but did tell me during my first visit that if anything happened, I could get a full refund minus any amount for time spent. What a lie. And to top it off, when I call and ask for a refund the man on the other end of the phones wants to argue with me about what his employee has told me numerous times. Find someone else if you need a lawyer......
