I highly suggest calling to set up a consultation with Kina. I had to use her firm for an issue with a dovirce I was going through and she was amazing. I don't usually leave reviews, but after I saw the previous review regarding the vet who had a bad experience with them I feld I had to leave one. I obviously don't know what happened with that situation, but I am also a vet and I can tell you what happened with me. They were amazing. My exwife's family had a lot of money to put into a lawyer and were trying to take me to the cleaners. Kina and her team worked their butts off to protect me from myself. I have some issues with PTSD and tend to shut off when I get into stressful situations and they were amazing working with me!

I feel bad that the previous reviewer had a different experience, but I would caution making a judgement on a business from one reveiw (or 2 reviews from the same incident...) because I am sure we all know that there are 2 sides to every story and the truth is generally somewhere in between.

We have had several friends who have used The Harding Firm for custody issues. She is very knowledgeable in dealing with custody issues in Arizona.

I’m a retired Army disabled combat veteran and I couldn’t be more disappointed in this law office. I specifically searched for lawyers who had knowledge of this type of military divorce and this firm said they did. From the beginning they appeared not even to be able to understand the difference between military retirement pay vs disability pay when it comes to a divorce settlement – the “paralegal” kept saying that my wife was entitled to 50% of my disability and nothing from my pension (BACKWARDS!) It took 2 weeks "discussing" and ended with the notary having to tell the paralegal she was wrong. I also had to keep reminding them that my TRICARE would provide medical insurance for my kids. Still the final paperwork that they drew up and filed stated my wife was responsible for medical coverage. I also spent these 2 weeks having to call to ask them to make corrections in the paperwork on several major mistakes made. I believe I was charged for most (if not every) one of these calls and emails. Many of the calls were just to be told “nobody is available right now” or my having to call back to ask when someone would be available after I had received no return call. I cancelled this divorce request after 2-3 weeks and received only $1651 back out of my original $7500. It took these 2 weeks and 3 re-writes just to get mistakes corrected - mostly their mistakes - in the paperwork so proper documents could be filed. Oh – and that “free” consultation they offer? That didn't happen either! I was not only charged for the initial visit but also for calls to set up the appointment and/or call back to provide information requested. CONSIDERING THIS LAWYER? KEEP LOOKING! Avoid these people!

READ THIS AND DO NOT USE THIS FIRM! I gave them a $7500 retainer for my son’s anticipated divorce at our initial “free consultation” meeting on 12/16/19. For 2 weeks all this firm did was draw up divorce paperwork and then make multiple corrections because of mistakes they made. Initially there were dozens of errors such as birthdates, dates, and even grammar (as simple as stating child instead of children). They also changed the paperwork on their own to add overnight visits with the son who was reported at the initial consultation to be disabled and UNABLE TO BE AWAY FROM HIS MOTHER FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME! The paralegal made repeated errors when providing information to my son – including insisting that my son’s wife could take half of his military disability pay but not his military retirement pay. My son kept emphasizing she was mistaken as he had confirmed this information with the military weeks before but the paralegal kept insisting she was correct. SHE WAS WRONG and either didn’t know better or just didn’t want to admit it!!!!
After approximately 2 weeks my son decided the only way he was going to have any time with his children was to stop the divorce – which he did. Approximately 3 weeks later and several email/phone call reminders, he received a check for $1651. Apparently, this firm felt that they did $5849 worth of work in that 2 week period.
I contacted them to dispute and to inform them that I planned on seeking arbitration through the Arizona State Bar. I received an email offering to discuss the situation. An appointment was agreed upon via email for 9am 2/3/20. I waited for over 4 hours to receive a call. NO CALL. It has now been another 48+ hours and neither my son or I have received a follow-up call or email. PLEASE FIND ANOTHER ATTORNEY!!!!!
*****ADDENDUM AFTER HARDING LAW FIRM RESPONSE: This attorney contacted me after my negative review in an attempt to get it removed. I tried to offer a compromise. But during our phone conversation, this attorney told me my RETIRED ARMY DISABLED COMBAT VETERAN SON was "UNSTABLE" because he had cried as well as called the office too many times. What???? No thank you for your time in the Army and Afghanistan combat duty helping to keep America free?!?! Instead you call him UNSTABLE???? Because he is emotional during a divorce where he is losing his wife and children?!?! PLEASE KEEP LOOKING FOR ANOTHER ATTORNEY!!!!!

Ms. Harding is without a doubt one of the best family law attorneys in the valley. She is knowledgeable and cares about her client's best interest. I was the primary wage earner and my ex-husband was asking for spousal maintenance, 401k, equity in the home and many other things. When I was served I had no idea what my rights were and my emotions were high. Ms. Harding was calm and level headed, she knew exactly what to do and when. I was very satisfied with her representation of my case. Her staff is also friendly and knowledgeable. Every email (there were a lot) and phone call was answered promptly and explained in a way that was easy to understand.

I can't say enough good things about Ms. Harding and her staff.

The Harding firm helped me through a very tough and trying time in my life. I was deploying and was being taken to court by my daughters father for custody. While I was stressing Ms. Harding and her team assured me that I would be ok if I followed her instructions. I will admit I was nervous but they walked me through everything and was readily available when I needed them. Being a military service member isn’t easy and it’s not easy communicating in a combat zone thousands of miles away.

But Ms. Harding not only won my case but helped me work on myself when it came to my custody case. I would refer her to anyone if they are looking for someone who cares about the clients best interest.

The Harding Firm was very easy to work with and Kina kept me informed all through the process. As a individual who did not expect to be going through the court systems I felt very comfortable with Kina leading me all the way. As I don't wish for anyone to go through a divorce I strongly suggest the Harding Firm to anyone they were great!

Ms. Harding and her staff are just awesome. So awesome, in fact, I used them twice. The first time my spouse and I chose to reconcile our marriage, but before that, Ms Harding fought aggressively to get my kids back when my spouse disappeared with them for a month. My spouse and I tried to work things out, but a few years went by without resolving our issues. I sought Kina and her staff out the second time because I was confident that I would get the best representation possible. The whole staff handled my case with the utmost professionalism, getting documents and filings and all other paperwork promptly. During court, Kina used her skills and expertise to show my side of the story and helped protect my needs and wants for both me and my kids (4). Because of Kina's representation, guidance, and skill, I believe I was able to reach a great settlement with my ex's attorney and the court system.

Great communication
Wonderfully assertive in court and out
Responded quickly to my concerns and counseled me to what my best choices could be, yet allowed me to make my own decisions.

Hands down, the best attorney I could have found and I'm so glad she represented me.

Thanks Harding Firm team!

Tough case of divorce starting with four DCS reports, one police report and two forensic interviews where the children consistently accused Mom of emotional and physical abuse (that I witnessed in part), which put me in a position to ask for full custody. But the temporary order allowed Mom to have the children 50% of the time after some supervised visits where Mom showed her best behavior and more importantly the custody evaluator (suggested by Mom's attorney) reversed the roles in spite of the evidence, going up to blaming the police for not being professional, ignoring some key aspects of the reports, and calling the children liars. This forced us to change our position to 50% parenting time.

At the final hearing, we were able to present enough evidence so that the judge would question at least parts of the custody evaluation and not completely follow the recommendations of the evaluator appointed by the court, which is certainly unusual. At the end, we got what we needed in term of decision making, schedule, etc. in order to better protect my children from further abuse.

Your children are obviously more important than money but you need money to take care of your children so the financial aspect should not be neglected. Kina charged me $10,000 to represent me for over 18 months (flat fee) whereas for the same job Mom's attorney charged her more than $120,000 and she finally did not get what she wanted. Kina puts her clients as her first priority, well before the money. She will fight for you all the way at no extra cost, no matter how complicated the case is.

Finally, an aspect of her personality that I really likes is that Kina listened to me and did not hesitate to redirect her strategy based on my opinion. In view of my job, Kina and I have some complementary skills, so we worked as a team. Being listened and having some control is important to avoid additional frustrations at difficult times of your life.

I truly wish I could endorse Ms Harding because that would mean she represented me. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, she never took the time to learn about my case and was dismal in court. She allowed the judge to have the impression that I had quit my job when I had not.

Maybe it's different for women, but if you are looking for a divorce attorney RUN THE OTHER WAY!

My experience with the Harding firm left me in a much worse situation, I am out $5000.00 and my situation is worse.
