When our daughter was arrested and facing felony domestic violence charge, we knew that we needed to find the best criminal defense attorney we possibly could. I found Sanford on the internet his reviews were impressive so I interviewed him in his office with in days of our phone conversation. I normally don't write reviews, but the service my Son and family has received from Mr. Sanford Horowitz, his PI, and fellow co-counsel, Mr. Goodman warrants acknowledgment and praise. Both of these attorneys are well received and highly respected in Santa Barbara.

My son was involved with a misunderstanding involving UCSB Police and the UCSB Office of Student Conduct.

Compassion: My son has never been involved with any police activity so he was clearly shaken throughout this entire ordeal. Sanford aka Sandy, from start to completion was attentive, empathetic and compassionate. He took the time to meet with us, even on a weekend and carefully listened and documented all the facts. He researched the matter extensively (with the assistance of a very skilled and seasoned Private Investigator) to weed out the facts from the fabrications of the case.

Competent: Don't let his soft spoken, calm, and collected demeanor fool you. Sanford use to be a Prosecutor and clearly knows when and how to use his actions. Sanford was always honest and transparent with us. Never did he over promise and under deliver. Be weary of the attorneys that simply tell you "this is an easy case or an open and shut case" because you never really know. You don't always know the Judge that presides over the case or the DA either. During this entire process Sandy kept us informed, updated and calmed our nerves. The legal system is not a microwave, it's definitely not instant or swift, even if you are innocent, so be patient and ready for justice to come.

Closure: Sanford made sure to see the case through its entirety. He didn't stop after the case was dismissed by the courts. He even made sure to speak to the necessary parties at the UC to clear my son's name. He definitely provided closure with a compassionate heart and was always professional, not only to us but to everyone he encountered.

Best lawyer ever!! I chose Sanford Horowitz as my defense lawyer on a landlord/ tenant dispute.I was accused of taking a piece of property that was rightfully mine. I was a defendant for the first time and was very scared and ignorant of the legal system. Sandy walked me through this process with compassion, always there to answer all my questions, even the dumb ones. I was always in communication with him. Every email or phone call was answered and responded to within the hour. Sandford worked on this case for months going to all my court dates, keeping me up to date all the way through. Needless to say he won my case. Sandford is a lawyer for the people.

I always shop around and get 3 quotes when I am looking for a service. I did the same with finding an attorney for my niece in Santa Barbara. Hiring Sanford Horowitz to represent me in my recent DUI case was the best decision I could have made! He was understanding and offered not only great legal advice, but compassion for what I was going through. This was one of the toughest times in my life, however, knowing he was by my side to represent me gave me great comfort when I was down. He is an excellent Attorney and was able to get me an outcome that I did not think was possible. He was able to work with the DA to reduce a Felony charge to a Misdemeanor which in turn has saved my life with respect to my Career, my Children, and my overall Self Esteem! I would recommend Sanford Horowitz to anyone who is feeling helpless and needs some "light at the end of the tunnel!" He was an absolute Blessing!

I hired Sanford when I needed help with a child custody/family law case. He came highly recommended. I can't think of a better person than Sanford Horowitz! I was referred to Sandford by my codefendant's attorney and since I first called him in a state of panic about my charges he was empathetic, caring. He was sympathetic to every fear and every question I had and he always dispelled my worries with clear, understandable, and logically reasoning and knowledge derived from an overwhelmingly obvious wealth of legal experience. He demanded that I be represented fairly in court and pursued an amazing defense that ended in the complete dismissal of three seriously and potentially life altering theft charges. Unlike many of these bloodsuckers, Sandy was very disarming and willing to hear out my situation, and did not jump to any hasty conclusions about my warrant based on the court's filings. I had something pop up that was quite terrifying and off base from back in college at S.B. in 2010, and I had no idea what to expect. (after all, I was innocent!) The one thing I knew was that I couldn't chance my career and life on NOT having a lawyer. However, attorneys do not come cheap. I was devastated when I was quoted for $2.5K-$20K upon searching for council. I was quoted by many attorneys, and, oh my was I relieved when I found Sanford! I assured Sandy of my innocence, and he assured me that if I was telling him the truth, we had nothing to fear. He hoped that the DA would dismiss the case immediately and I agreed to pay him a reasonable amount to go stand up there with me. SCARY STUFF! Sanford kept his cool, and made sure I kept mine....

If only I had met Sandy sooner, I would have saved a lot of time & frustration. I lost my temper at a local business and was charged with a criminal offense.
