If you are looking for lawyers that will stick with you through thick and thin do NOT go with these people. They came up with excuses that we were dragging our feet and dss got involved but they took 3 months and 2 tries to FINALLY get us papers and when we took two weeks to look over and discuss the papers with the other parties that were on the papers they dropped us. Wanted no part of us and said they would give us some money back but I’m sure it won’t be near the full amount even though they really didn’t do anything.

During a very sensitive time I felt supported, seen and heard while at the same time received some great tough love advice I know I needed while going through my divorce. I highly recommend Cape Fear Family law!

Waneta & Amy are a powerful duo. I live out of state and was concerned at first finding a law firm to trust. After my first consult over the phone with Waneta. I was at ease. They went above and beyond with my emergency custody leading to sole custody case. Response via text/email/phone calls were as if you were talking to family. Fast and caring. Although not an ideal situation to be in. It was nice to know they cared and I wasn’t just another “client”. At the end of the day going through what we went through, I know truly has changed and is going to continue to change my son’s life in a positive way and that’s what mattered to me. This lawyer is the best money can buy in the state of North Carolina, and I know because I called them all looking for someone to take my case that could handle it. She helped me get my daughter back! We ended up with a complete reversal of the order even though the judge had only been awarding split custody. She told me what I had to do and prepped me well. Beware of the fees!!!! They will charge you an exorbitant amount for something that is supposed to go to trial and it never goes to trial and they will not refund the fees. Referred a best friend and she was told 6000 to cover everything in divorce but was later build 20,000 after they got the 6000.

Matthew Geiger has been such a pleasure to work with. He has been readily available whenever I needed him or had a question. Matt speaks in laymen terms so you know exactly what he is saying.
