We recently hired Mr. Egan to handle a family custody issue in Kern County after a couple of bad experiences with local lawyers. Honestly, meeting Jude and retaining him has been an all round great experience. He's easy to communicate with, ethical, friendly, and his staff (Kristen) is equally as great. He actually tells you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear which was refreshing after having other attorneys pat you on the back with their right hand whilst their left hand is emptying your wallet. When weighing up the pros and cons of the case, he offered options which not only addressed the legal issues at hand, but he offered options which were beneficial to our quality of life which is obviously important. I sincerly hope that no one out there requires an attorney for a family law matter, but if you do, I would retain Jude in a heartbeat.

This man is just totally inept… I had a full on hour plus conversation with the man about my case and he called me back the next day asking questions indicating he had NO (zero) recollection of the conversation at ALL. When I parted ways him, his paralegal sent me my files AND a whole bunch of other people's info, including but not limited to: names, addresses, testimony, case numbers, social security numbers, etc. YIKES! (Not to worry, I shredded it all) He is a nice enough guy, just not one I would trust important matters with,

Hmmm… not quite sure how your argument relates to the points brought up in my review? I did indeed fall victim to security hack.
I can’t and won’t apologize for the creep responsible, but I sure do feel badly that you and your wife were affected negatively by it as well.

But back to the point at hand…. HOW exactly does my security breech, relate to YOUR office sending me the files of MANY of your other clients?

Gosh - I am not sure it does.

Other than trying to attempt to attack my character, the fact remains that you’re paralegal photo-copied and sent me the personal information of MANY of your other clients via snail-mail included in my own personal file.

It is not at all a lie. If you think it is - perhaps you should contact the court clerk as well as the other attorneys involved.
Not knowing what the heck to do with these random people’s info, and not hearing back from you, I contacted them to try to get their info back.

I think your “pro bono” work, which was actually a contingency; that the commissioner ordered the other parent to pay you your fee of some $500 to you in legal fees; was not half bad.
You reached a decent settlement, all things considered, in my case.
You, of course, could have showed up on time, and better prepared, but I was not outraged at the outcome at all.

MY review was NOT about that though, nor was it about your character in general -
it was regarding the fact that your client information is NOT safe with you.

If you “accidentally” mailed other clients’ information to me to me, it begs the question, who has my information?
That is all really.

I think the public has the right to know that their names, addresses, social security numbers, etc. could end up in the hands of total strangers. And that is a scary thing that raises all sorts of ethical and confidentiality questions about you. I am particularly sensitive to it because of the identity theft I went through.

Mr. Egan did work for my wife and I during a very long and drawn out mediation. He was great to work with, explained how the process would go and what to watch out for. During negotiations he kept a cool head and was able to calmly analyze the situation. I highly recommend him!
