and I was more than pleased. He worked with my available time-- office was very easy to find--- at all times things were done quickly and explained to me . When all finished , I came away with knowledge that will help me in the future be more wise about debt and spending. Very healthy experience with a care for people.
I called Dan and immediately I knew I’m going to meet him, I found its all truth, Dan and Deanna working as a team, they treated me like I’m the most important person in the world, they really cares, and they did everything possible to make my life easier, they are people of the word, they did everything they promised and more than that.
English is second language for me and I have heavy accent, I also have hearing barrier, but they both was patient, they took the time as much as needed and completed the job perfectly, I’ll recommend them to every good and decent people, who needs law service without second thought.

Hired attorney
Mr. Hickson was hired by my now deceased father primarily for Estate Planning. My father was a paraplegic with severe health conditions. Mr. Hickson, and his Paraprofessional never batted an eye at traveling to my fathers home to conduct business. Mr. Hickson always treated my father with the utmost professional and personal respect. My father relied on Mr. Hicksons competent legal representation. Without fail Mr. Hickson never appeared to be hurried for time, always clarifying information and, or questions my father had. If he didnt have the immediate answer to a question, he found the answer soon after. If there was an extra mile to go Mr. Hickson buckled up the boots, and traveled the journey. The unconditional moral support given to my father is only a diminutive example of Mr. Hicksons personal, and professional attributes.
Obviously, my father held as I hold Mr. Hickson and his Legal practices in the highest regards.

However there are some moments and incidents in our lives we can not ignore and we are compelled to leave the role of spectator and assume that of participant. Consequently for what it is worth, here is my two cents on an issue which greatly disturbs me.
My friend and attorney Daniel Higson, in my opinion, is being maligned by another lawyer right here on the Internet. I have known Dan as a friend and as my attorney for more than 20 years and I think he is a remarkable human being whose decency and integrity is beyond reproach. Twenty years is time enough to make an extensive assessment of a person and in my assessment of Dan, I have long felt he is one of the most worthy persons I have ever encountered. He has given time and energy to multiple worthy causes in our community. He, his wife, and their children have volunteered for years in our town’s shelter for the homeless. He has offered legal advice to many at no cost. He is an admirable husband and father who has worked hard and provided well for his family. And as pater familias his advice and guidance have served his four children well as they have too, have become concerned adults working helpfully in their communities.
My family has often referred to me as a “demanding critic” , they love me so I’m hoping and assuming they meant it as a compliment. So what about Dan Higson? He is not in the category of one of the good guys. He is one of the best guys and I feel fortunate to have him as an attorney and a friend.

Several years ago I moved from California to Oregon and found myself facing bankruptcy. I had a very difficult tax-related issue that my own bankruptcy attorney was not able to answer. I called Dan and he was able to figure out the issues and come up with a workable solution. He explained all the issues and options to me, gave me his advice , both as an attorney and as a family member.
Dan is a person I admire and respect, not because he is married to my sister, but because he is a genuinely good person, who works hard to do the best he can for his clients. I would, without reservation, recommend Daniel Higson for Bankruptcy ( his specialty) , Personal Injury and/or Estate Planning.
Dan's assistant for the past few years has been his wife, Deanna. Uber efficient and always nice, Dan and Deanna make a great team.
I know if I need any legal advise in the future, i will be sure to call them first!
I feel like Deanna and Dan took me under their wing. I feel they gave me the BEST advice for MY situation, and patiently walked me through what needed to happen. They were there for me whenever I had questions or concerns. I felt like I was important, not just another client.
My bankruptcy was filed and discharged. Things are much better now. Im much smarter now, about A LOT of things. Im so happy they helped me get through it.
Although I myself have never used his services for bankruptcy, (thank God,) several of my friends have. And they have all raved about his honesty, sincerity and integrity in handling all matters of bankruptcy. He has made a most unpleasant experience, tolerable. Thanks Dan!
