Steven Chroman and his staff provided this, and so much more for me and my children.
Believe me, I know just how frustrating and stressful it can be without proper representation because I started my divorce without it, enlisting a different attorney to help me with just the filings. Disastrous. I definitely do not recommend that approach for anyone, even if you think your divorce will be “amicable.” My ex had representation in the courtroom almost immediately. Every time we appeared before the judge, my stomach was twisted in knots and I would leave feeling a wreck. I couldn’t sleep or relax between appearances, overwhelmed by the financial and emotional toll. It felt like my entire life revolved around the divorce case and I was making a mess of it. Then Steven Chroman took over the case, relieving much of the pressure as he steadily unraveled the mess.
Our divorce was especially long (4+ years) and complicated, with, dozens of court appearances, hundreds of filings, and multiple attorneys - our children were represented by 2 different Minor’s Counsel and my ex went through 4 attorneys of his own
Throughout the case, he kept me focused on what mattered most. He did his best to avoid the expense of court appearances whenever possible but never compromised on the important issues. He never made promises he couldn’t absolutely keep. He didn’t just tell me what I wanted to hear or let my emotions rule the day. He was always candid about the options and likelihood of each of the possible outcomes, but also mindful of emotionally sensitive issues, like the DV restraining order, which he successfully obtained. As a result, I never felt blind-sided by the court rulings, even when they didn’t go our way, which was rare.
Our many court appearances gave me an opportunity to witness other attorneys in action, not only the ones involved in our case, but others, including a couple high profile ones, and I always walked out of the courtroom grateful that I was represented by Steven. Steven is a killer litigator. I witnessed him repeatedly dismantle my ex’s misleading and false claims in cross-examination and deposition. No theatrics, no dirty tricks, just compelling, clear, logical, fact- and law-based arguments.
After much foot dragging by my ex, even after we reached a settlement, my divorce case is fully adjudicated, and all the issue are resolved. Thanks to Steven and his staff, I have no regrets, no self-doubts about the settlement, and no bitterness, just gratitude to be on the other side of it with a fighting chance to move on and rebuild our lives with the tools and resources Steven and his staff helped put into place. We’re in a stronger and more stable place and for that I am eternally grateful.

Love these negative reviews. Obvious they are reviews written by the opposing side for people he is represented. To me, it's undeniable proof that Mr. Chroman is a master at his craft.

After researching many of the firms in Beverly Hills since my case was in DTLA, I chose Mr. Chroman after seeing him represent a Father in court. I liked how he spoke to the rights of the Parent rather than being Pro-Mom or Pro-Dad. I could also see that he had the respect of the Judge, which many attorneys lack because they focus too much on trying to make the other Parent look like a monster. This just in that costing both parents and hold a lot of money and having a negative impact on the kids.

He didn’t guarantee me any results, he didn’t waste my time and money by letting me get caught up in being petty or trying to micromanage my ex. Stay focused on the big picture and the fact that the state is primarily in most cases 50-50 when it comes to custody.

I’m glad I chose Stephen because I’ve seen friends get the trainees that create such bad blood it takes years to rebuild a friendly line of communication but the other parent, thank God I didn’t get sucked into that trap.

Mr. Chroman is a child centered attorney who is skilled at negotiating terms to yield favorable results without creating unnecessary drama. In the world of family law, most attorneys feed on the emotions and fears of Clients. However, after seeing Steven steer my case to the promise land both in and out of the courtroom, I am confident that I chose wisely. He didn’t take cheap shots at my ex, which I respwct and he stopped me from doing the same, which I believe ultimately made the playing field tilt in my favor. Firm, but fair attorney.

Mr. Chroman I have seen your work firsthand, and I have witness the various acts of perjury which you have been committing under oath. So how about you report that instead of being so worried of each persons review on here? I've looked at the other reviews and clearly you and your firm are the ones with the issue. Go back to school and learn how to be a Professional lawyer and not a liar! As far as I am concerned you should be disbarred for your atrocious behaviour. Lol, to whoever responds to the reviews on this website: One does not have to live in the State of California to write a review of your practice. One just has to have knowledge of how you practice the law. Such statements as defense is ridiculous and proves just how your firm operates.
I do not live in California and in fact, I have never even been to California, but I feel confident in my review that Steven Chroman is both unethical and dishonest. This lawyer represents my soon to be ex brother-in-law in divorce proceedings against my sister and he has proved over and over again to use shady practices to try to win his case. He has blatantly lied to the court and he has done everything in his power to defame my sister and paint her to be a monster. He has even made fake documents to continue to purport his lies.
I believe that if there was any other lawyer on the case that the divorce would have been amicable, but this lawyer has turned it into an all out war. I believe that in such family proceedings a lawyer should give good advice that will help both parties, especially when children are involved because the relationship does not end when the judge grants the divorce. This lawyer has given his client bad advice upon bad advice and has not been at all helpful in forging a relationship that will last past the judge's ruling. He has done more harm than good and will get to walk away at the end with a huge paycheck while he leaves a family in shambles. That alone should be a warning to others who want to use this attorney and his associates.
He will go all out, even breaking the law to win you your case, but at what cost?

Steven Chroman is a dishonest and unethical attorney that should be disbarred. He maliciously lies in court and encourages his clients to do the same. In my case where he represents my ex, he has intentionally lied about not knowing my whereabouts to help my ex get abduction orders granted, then he failed to serve me orders from the hearing, then he lied about serving me, then he created a fake proof of service to cover for his lies. These are just some of the unethical behavior he has demonstrated in my one case. He is also a bully and attempts to manipulate the judge. He lies in court and on legal documents under penalty of perjury. If you have a case against him, be very careful. This is a game to him and he would stop at nothing to win. If he represents you, also be careful. Dishonesty may seem attracted short term if it gets you what you want, but do not be deceived. The truth will come out and you don't want to pay the price for having this unethical man on your team. Hopefully he will be disbarred soon so that the legal profession can be free of him.
